The Sou'Wester Restaurant and Gift Shop began in 1967 as a small five table tearoom at the side of a house at its present location. It has been expanded over the last five decades to a 180-seat restaurant offering traditional Maritime and seafood dishes,
we loved our food it was delicious. The service was amazing. having dinner by Peggy's Cove and watching the village was awesome. My latte was the best I had during our visit to Nova Scotia. I had the scallops which were so delicious and large. We also watched the sunset around the lighthouse which was so beautiful. It was amazing to be there. I have watched on the web camera the sunset and it is more gorgeous in person. Our server was super friendly and awesomeOur only complaint was the bathrooms were really disgusting, dirty and smelly. They were really bad.Hi Barb, Thank you for taking the time to review The SouâWester in beautiful Peggy's Cove, we feel very strongly about our customer experience and thank you again for that feedback, we will be discussing as a management team. We are happy that you had a nice visit with us, enjoyed your meal while enjoying that amazing view with a bonus sunset. We look forward to welcoming you back! Sea you soon...... Enjoy a delicious meal in Halifax with family or friends, choose from our steak or go for the seafood at the only Bâton Rouge Steakhouse Bar & Grill within Nova Scotia.
Stopped in for a late night dinner after having some drinks at the local downtown pubs, I've eaten at one of there Montreal locations before so I new it was good when I recommended it to the group of friends I was with. I'm sure they'll all go to a Baton rouge again after trying this location. No one left disappointed they were all impressed with the food portions, service and reasonable prices. Great place for late night eats or anytime for that matter.Thank you so much for your review. We are very pleased to read about the wonderful evening you and your friends had with us. We hope you can get in to dine with us again soon.Donna OrrManager

The good was really good here. I very healthy choice gif vegans, gluten free, or keto meals. Just a ferry ride from Halifax as the restaurant is upstairs in the ferry terminal. Patio nice in the summer. There is a tree growing inside the restaurant. It is quite pricey but the value is worth it. The service wasnât great the day we were there but I have heard thatâs not the norm.

We made plans for a family dinner and chose Henry House to be the restaurant. (I hadn't been here since I worked for CN in the mid-70s.) Terrific ambiance and the service was first-rate. We were entertained by our waiter who regaled stories of the past of the building. All in all a wonderful time and we recommend wholeheartedly. We'll be back!

We are casual dining with a fine view of the bustling Digby Wharf. We offer the freshest seafood and generous portions.
Nice view across the bay to the fishing fleet. And of course I couldn't resist the wonderful Digby scallops that were on the menu. My wife had the Haddock bits which were very good. Not impressed by the house white wine. But all in all a good experience.Hi there, Thanks for the review! I've read this over a couple times trying to figure out how to respond. I'm glad you found us not sophisticated, to me that is stuffy and uncomfortable. We focus on the food, not the wine, it's Peller Estates from a box. We promote casual dining with a fine view. I'm glad you enjoyed the important stuff, the food and the service. :)
