This picturesque mountain is located just north of Tucson and provides great opportunities for summer hiking and winter skiing.
It’s a short drive to this point, but the views are fantastic, and make sure you time it to see a sunset. It’s dog friendly too.

This is one of my favourite places in Tucson. I loved it. My boyfriend who lives in Tucson took my son and myself here and we absolutely loved it. The views and the trees and landscape was so beautiful. We spent 3 weeks in Tucson with my boyfriend and this is one of my best places to visit. I can't wait to go back.

Perfect corduroy on bluebird days, untracked powder in the upper bowl, drinks on the deck of Agassiz Lodge, and epic views of the Grand Canyon. This is what you love about skiing and riding at Arizona Snowbowl. Home to Arizona’s longest ski season, over 260 inches of annual snowfall, Snowbowl is proud to offer the premier winter experience.
When thinking of Arizona you don't really think of snow. But this mountain reaches right up there and has good annual snowfall. In the early season their snow making is sufficient, though you are limited in the number of runs available. I went in early February and most of the runs were open and in great condition. It doesn't hurt that they have great rates for seniors. Free if you are over 70!

Sunrise Park Resort is Arizona’s Premier Recreation Destination, offering the most ski runs and acreage in the state. We offer skiing, snowboarding, ski bikes, and have lessons available for all ages. In the summer, enjoy zip-lining, downhill mountain biking, archery, disc golf, and more!
If apache peak is open when you go, be sure to ski there. Apache peak has beginner, intermediate, and expert trails. Some people don't even know that it is part of the ski resort because it is kind of hidden. To get there, take the lift to the top of sunrise peak and ski going straight down the other side of the mountain mountain.

I have wanted to visit the snow park for years, and today was the first day I was able to experience it. There has not really been much natural snow in Flagstaff so I was surprised to see the winter wonderland they have created in the forest. All the runs were covered with man-made snow which was amazing to tube on. The tubes were great quality, the staff was friendly and fun and the atmosphere was festive. The food trucks and picnic tables and fire pits were a great way to relax after the exciting runs. So great to see so many families enjoying themselves! I will definitely be back!
