Since the early 1900s, West Yellowstone has provided a tourist-friendly gateway to the geysers of Yellowstone National Park and its resident bison, bears and elk. This Rocky Mountain enclave in southwestern Montana is an outdoor enthusiast's dream, offering snowmobiling, cross-country skiing and dog sledding in winter; trout fishing in fall; birding, biking and hiking in spring; and summer parades and rodeos. In-town eateries and attractions are an easy stroll from local lodging.

Travelers great service and great equipment combined with the great local trials of West Yellowstone make for a great vacation! We were beginners to snowmobiling and they took great care of us. Highly recommend renting the clothing; add a couple layers of your own underneath and you are good to go! Days Inn is conveniently located just across the street. Awesome experience all around!

Cannot brag enough! Sam was a wonderful, down to earth, very informative guide! She not only provided a wealth of information about the park, animals, and its geology, but provided resources as well. Her passion shined through. She did her best to provide us a quaint and personal experience that I will never forget. Winter in Yellowstone is an absolute must! The minimal crowds, multitude of wildlife, and contrasting thermal features with snow is truly majestic! Thank you to Yellowstone Expeditions for helping make it an absolutely wonderful and personalized experience!

We booked a trip to the powder hut for a birthday celebration and had one of the best trips, we are still talking about how fun it was. We had 6 of us in the hut, and loved getting to hang out with our guide Sam, who was so knowledgable about the area and kept us safe and showed us the best terrain to ski. The snow was deeep and the area around the hut is breathtaking with views of the Centennials. We can’t wait to go back again to explore more.

Learn to Mush your own team of Huskies! Dog sled trips near Big Sky & West Yellowstone, Montana. Featured in the New York Times, on the National Geographic Channel and Animal Planet.
If you like adventure, enjoy the outdoors, and love dogs, this activity is for you! Jason and crew do a fabulous job providing just the right amount of training and guidance then allow you the ultimate experience of mushing a team (with a guide providing the expert oversite). As it was late in the winter season, we only had an hour to enjoy the activity but had a fantastic time at the Yellowstone Dogsled adventure camp. YDA is short 20 minute drive from Big Sky with simple directions to their camp off of highway 191. Make sure to dress appropriately and arrive ready to have great time interacting with the dogs. All the info you need to know is provided in the email provided.

Charlie was excellent to work with start to end he helped us via email he’s quick to get back . He even followed up with us after. That to us is costumer service We all enjoyed snowmobiling in the park . The deal was perfect for a family of four. Prices are reasonable not to many expensive out side the deal. I would recommend using Charlie and we will Use him again. Now thinking of a trip to Utah and will be calling him to book soon.
