We had lovely ice creams here at very good prices. Great shop with many traditional sweets and treats. Located at the harbour front. Good service and location.

At the end of the West harbour is the stunning statue cast in bronze, unveiled recently by the well known Sculptor Alan Heriot .Depicting a fisherman's wife and child scanning the horizon for the return of their loved one . It is a poignant reminder of the many men who lost their lives at sea . The faces are particularly good showing the anguish and concern. Well worth having a look if you are in the area . The money (£75,000) was raise by the Pittenweem Fishermen’s Memorial Association. The Statue stands 8 feet including the Granite base and has an inscribed plaque on it

Kellie castle has a history spanning nearly seven centuries. From the original tower house built in the 1360s, it was extended and added to through the following 300 years, home to not only the daughter of Robert the Bruce but the Earls of Kellie and later the talented Lorimer family; artists, architects, sculptors and academics. Enjoy the many different rooms showing different ages of the castle, or while away a few hours in the beautiful walled gardens. In season, why not try some of the produce grown in the gardens, or enjoy lunch in the tea room? Please note the Castle is open from 1 April until 31 October. Please check the website for full details.
Even though we weren't able to go inside the castle and the tea room was closed, it was lovely wandering around the beautiful gardens and strolling through the woodland.

Every year this charming coastal village on the Fife coast hosts an arts festival, over the course of a week it hosts some 80 artists in locations across the village. From fine art, abstracts, landscapes, ceramics, installations, sculpture, jewellery, you'll find it all here. We spent a very happy afternoon visiting as many artists as we could, a great opportunity to talk to the artists about their work. We stopped for drinks down by the harbour and picked up some goodies from Pittenweems famous chocolate shop ( lots of hand made chocolates and other delights). Car parking just £2 and festival programme just £3, a bargain!

I was surprised with this little gem by my partner on our 1st year anniversary trip. You need to find The Coca Three Shop, pay a one pound deposit, get a key and walk to the cave. Very surreal and intriguing. You then going to open a gate, switch lights and contemplate surroundings. Nice place for a little slow down or meditation if you fancy it.
