First class tour (on Fridays there is an English speaking guide). Explains how silver was dug out of the mines. Very interesting and informative.

The church was built in the 11th and 12th century and has a mix of design with both Romanesque and gothic. There are more than 200 capitals displaying various religious and social symbols. The church had originally been an abbey and was on the route of pilgrims travelling to Santiago de Compostela. There is a modern marble altar dating from 2000 which has been influenced by the limestone sediments at the nearby silver mines.
