Conquering New York in one visit is impossible. Instead, hit the must-sees – the Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty, Central Park, the Metropolitan Museum of Art – and then explore off the beaten path with visits to The Cloisters or one of the city’s libraries. Indulge in the bohemian shops of the West Village or the fine dining of the Upper West Side. The bustling marketplace inside of Grand Central Station gives you a literal taste of the best the city has to offer.

its fitting to have a few sombre moments here to remember the monstrosities of that fateful day - the waterfalls are a fitting reminder allowing a tranquil place to look back up at what has been built since - very fitting all round, you have class New York and you;ve showed it here. Rob

Almost tucked away in a quiet pocket of Manhattan, right on the Hudson River and in view of the New Jersey shore, this memorial is elegant and touching, informative and even just a lovely spot to pause whether you know about what it memorialises or not. Highly recommended. Not far from the Woolworth building, Wall Street, and other places to see.

What a tribute to the 11 American Express employees that lost their lives on 9/11. A beautiful work of art.

It always baffles me how the Korean War was dubbed “Forgotten War”. How could you forget a war where more than 50,000 American lives were lost in the battle against the evil of communist regimes? It is so inspiring to see beautifully done Korean War Memorial in Washington DC and more modest but very meaningful Korean War Veterans Memorial in NYC Battery Park. We as a nation have finally understood the importance of the Korean War and paid tribute to those who sacrificed their lives for our freedom. The silhouette of a soldier carved in black granite faces the bay with the Statue of Liberty on the background. A poignant reminder about the cost of freedom. Well done!

Wall Street was the building ground for early skyscrapers, and this museum is dedicated to studying and enjoying them.
This is a small museum that is very tricky to find, but it helps one to come to an understanding of the dramatic skyline of New York. This is and has been for over a hundred years a city that has defined the idea that the sky is the limit and this museum provides an explanation of how that happened. Since I come from South Carolina where tall buildings are not much of a factor, this museum helped me see a different story. There are great timelines with explanations and comparisons of the tallest buildings in our world. Through visuals , models and explanations, I was able to connect with the past, present and future of an an amazing city and the story of man reaching for the sky.
