Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania, contains one of the largest surviving medieval quarters in Europe. Included on the UNESCO World Heritage List, Old Town contains almost two thousand medieval, gothic, renaissance, and baroque buildings, all centered on the neo-classical cathedral and town hall. Other popular attractions include the KGB Museum, located in a former Soviet prison, and the 13th century Higher Castle, which affords a glorious view of the city center.

Decided we needed a bit of retail therapy so we set off to Akropolis - its very easy to get there by bus simply take the no 53. Only costs 1 Euro, amazing. When we got there we were not disappointed - it is shopping paradise. It is so massive you could spend all day there. There are also lots of places to get refreshments, so many to choose from. In the middle there is an Ice rink and you can enjoy food or drink watching the activity. So if you go to Vilnius then make this one of your destinations.
