Upscale shopping district.
This is a fine upscale mall, with many of the stores you'd expect to find only in top malls: Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Tiffany, etc. Plus the expected solid restaurants: Cheesecake Factory, McCormick & Schmick, Maggiano, and lots more. There's plenty of parking, although it can get crowded and you may have to walk a bit from one of the parking stacks. There's valet parking, of course, for $5. Bottom line: the best mall in the area, clean, well run, high quality, good variety of department stores and specialty shops. What more do you want from a mall?? (Oh yes - convenient location. Obviously that depends upon where you're coming from. For me, coming from the Lake Norman area, this is a bit of a hike... but worth it.)

Pay attention to the wall map on your left as you enter - it can help orient you. There are a couple rider-carts for little kids in with 2 sizes of carts. We didn't pay much attention to that, but later went to get one because this place is vast and you really lose track of where you saw something you want to consider later. We resorted to writing down the letters of the booths we wanted to go back to and the staff very kindly led us back to the right places. They had everything!!! All in very clean - not artistically dusty condition, Some booths had wonderful decor items as well; I bought 4 pillows! And a nice Persian rug, My friend found treasures too. We were there from 11 am to near closing at 6 pm. Get a good breakfast and skip lunch. They have bathrooms as well, and there was a snack place with seating - closed when we were there during weekday (Thurs) but probably open at least weekends. Call to check. This place was really a pleasure but plan for walking and maybe bring water. We saw some children but I think it would be overwhelming to them under age 11, say. Yet there were a few collectibles booths that would interest them

For shopping in Charlotte, NC. the Northlake Mall hosts Macy's and Dillard's departments stores, Coach, an Apple store, and over 150 other stores. For a night out, the shopping center has several restaurants and a 14-screen AMC movie theater. Visit Northlake for great shopping, just 10 miles north of Charlotte on Interstate 77.
Lovely mall with excellent anchor stores: Dillards, Belk. Nice food court with lots of options and two attached sit downs. Phone charging area. Visited on a weekday. Mall was open at 9 for walkers. Felt very safe. Lots of security and janitorial staff. In the afternoon, an announcement was made regarding teens and chaperones. Adjoining movie theatre.
