Alaska is divided into five regions: far north, interior, southwest, south central, and inside passage. Although it takes a long time to see the entire state, you can travel through the regions by boat, car, bus, or plane. Hike through the mountains, or venture out on a deep sea fishing or whale watching excursion. Get in touch with nature by camping in the wilderness, or experience your preferred degree of class and luxury in the beautiful, active cities of Anchorage and Fairbanks.

Here on Chichagof Island, there isn't much of anything man-made. But what we do have here is un-paralleled wealth is wilderness. Locally there are more grizzly bears than people; and more acres of un-touched forest than pavement or concrete. This opportunity is NOT for those who like crowds, waiting in line, or being explained to death. Rather, this IS for those who want to safely get into the woods, and away from the herd and enclosures. Simply put, we offer opportunities to see what the 5th largest island in America has to experience, without hand-holding or training wheels.

We aren't big on cruise excursions. Saw this tour while walking through town with only 2 hours till our ship departed. Wished we would have seen it sooner, we would have rented one for the whole day. You are allowed to drive on the roads and through town to check it out and then hit the logging trails where you can fly fast letting you cover more beautiful ground and seeing a ton of sites. The utv was fast and reliable with a GPS system with preset destinations to follow and get back. Also had bear spray mounted inside just in case along with a transponder that has a button to notify if you get stuck or break down, and another button to alert 911. We had a blast, we loved going at our own pace and going where we wanted. Couldn't have been more pleased, great experience at a great price. Worth every penny.

This was my second time using Cross Country Skis from Alaska Outdoor Gear. The Rossignol boots and Evo (by Rossignol) skis were great. Perfect for the Hilltop Lighted Ski Trail! Great experience!

You choose your destination, stop when and where you want, and never feel rushed. More than just a car rental, this Jeep excursion gives you the ability to get off the beaten path in a rugged vehicle designed for weather-proof safety and comfort. You will receive a souvenir guide book which details the historic roadways, local attractions, and unique points of interest. There are several different routes we can suggest based on your personal interests, but you have the freedom to make your own as well!
Inclusions: Hotel pickup and drop-off (selected hotels only), Souvenir Guidebook
Exclusions: Denali National Park Entrance fees, optional
The guide took us through the wilds just north of Denali Park, the mountains always in the background. Sun, rain, wet or dry, nothing stops the all-terrain vehicles they provide. The Guide entertained us with the history of the trail & region. You could almost see the pioneers camping in the next clearing. Surely, this was from the guide's grandpa told in person? Wildlife? It was mid-June of 2019, almost record heat. The smart animals stay hidden, but we were warned it wasn't the best day for sightings. The tour lived up to all the hype. At the end, we got to walk across the permafrost, nothing like I've ever experienced. My son will be telling stories to his grandkids someday about his trek through the Alaskan wilds near Denali, the Big One! We had a blast!

We had a remarkable guide, Jeff, who was extremely knowledgeable about Denali, the Park, the animals, and Alaska! We had a GREAT day and although we didn't see many animals, we enjoyed some great Grizzly pictures and video as we saw some bears fighting and another Grizzly up close scratching his back on a tree! We had our three sons with us and two of them took turns riding with Jeff in the front jeep and had a wonderful time learning everything they could from Jeff! We were lucky enough to get to go into the park with the Jeep Excursion group and wish they would be able to do that every year for people! What an amazing time! Thank you Jeff!!!

I booked a tour for myself and my four teenaged children and we had a blast. Our guides were entertaining to say the least and they made sure we had a great time. This was a great way to get some adventuring time with my family. I felt like my kids were safe the entire time, even though they were handling ATV's all by themselves! Highly recommend!
