It's a funky little place like one you would find at the beach. The seafood is fresh and beautifully prepared. Excellent hush puppies too.The service is terrific. We have eaten there twice now and will go back again. My husband loves the Steamer platter and I love their Deviled Crab. Our friends enjoyed their fried catfish which was on special that night. Highly recommended!
Coldwater Cafe is a small restaurant that serves delicious food. I love their chicken tenders and loaded baked potatoes. They are so yummy! The staff is always so friendly and provides Southern hospitality at every visit. The prices are budget friendly and they also have a drive-thru available. I can't say enough good things about this place.

We thrive to produce an eclectic menu with mouth-watering recipes, made from scratch desserts, fun and tasty cocktails, exceptional service, and a view that will take your breath away. Open all year long, rain or shine, right under the O'Neal Bridge and f
Great views of the river & cliffs near McFarland Park. You can park you car dock your boat & walk over to enjoy. Itâs a good place for friends & families. The food is subpar... bar food & fried fish mostly. I lived on the beach in SC where we always had fresh fish, so my standards are pretty high for seafood dishes, so maybe I shouldnât judge too harshly. Itâs a decent place, & youâll have a nice time. Can be a wait on weekends in season.

The Captain D's in Muscle Shoals is top notch as far as fast food goes. Their catfish, chicken tenders, and sides are always warm and tasty and doesn't taste like fast food. The service is always friendly and the prices are very reasonable. It's a great place to catch a quick seafood meal.

My wife and I like to come here whenever we're jonesing for some good ol' fried food. Call me crazy but I'm not a huge fan of catfish. I always get the fried chicken tender plate and she usually gets a poboy, the catfish plate, or shrimp plate. Today she got the shrimp. As others have mentioned, yes Swamp John's can be busy at times and yes they could use some added staff. Today, however, when the line was getting longer, a 2nd person jumped on a register so the wait really wasn't a problem at all. The service is always great and the food is always better. I definitely recommend Swamp John's to anyone wanting fried fish or chicken. Oh and the hushpuppies are awesome!Thank you! We are so happy to know that you enjoyed your visit. We hope that you will stop by again.
Food and service were excellent. The tenderloin steak is hickory smoked and was cooked to perfection. The servers all did a great job too. The bar had 3 kinds of red wine, not just "red", and the portions were generous.I have two complaints: It's a large room with no sound reduction - all six surfaces, walls, ceiling, floor are hard, sound reflecting surfaces. With ~ 100 people in there the noise was deafening. You had to shout to talk to the person sitting next to you, and those of us with impaired hearing, our hearing aids were just overpowered. The desert was yellow cake with that disgusting white, fluffy, overpoweringly sweet icing. I know that's exactly what was ordered by the organizers, but it should be a crime to even have that available.

The fried catfish is excellent but their meat plates with sides are great too! Not looking for a large meal? Try a cheeseburger or a chicken sandwich. Their chicken tender plate is incredible too!
