The modest takeway restaurant serves Asian Traditional food, sea foods, burgers, sandwiches, maditarian kebab, iskander, chips, and deserts, smothes etc
What a disappointment. There appear to be new owners here and the food has deteriorated significantly. This used to be our favourite Taupo Fish and Chip takeaway - not anymore. After phoning in an order for pick up at a particular time, we received a call from the shop to tell us our order was ready for pick up 10 minutes before this time. By the time my husband picked up ( at the time we had specified), the food was cold, tough and almost inedible. Why accept an order for pick up at a particular time if you're going to prepare the meal significantly earlier? Prices have also increased markedly. Our opinion - don't waste your money.

We found these fish n chips good. We needed some food just after 8pm one night. Our kids didn't like the hot dog as it was a sausage instead of a saveloy but made up for it with extra fish in the pack. A lovely friendly lady served us.

Following advice from our resort, we visited this restaurant because it was very handy. On walking in we should have been warned because there were no other customers. The restaurant looked very inviting but there no service staff in attendance and we had to wait for any service. Eventually we were provided with a menu and had to wait again for our order to be taken. We were told that we could not order alcohol because the general manager was not on site. When the meals did arrive we were pleasantly surprised that it was good quality and quite tasty. On completion of the meal we again had to locate to only member of staff who continued to talk on his mobile phone while I attempted to pay our bill. Not a happy memory and will not happen again.
This is a hole-in-the-wall type of place, but the food is good. I especially like the crumb crust on the fish, crisp without being greasy. There is a variety of fish to choose from, we enjoyed the snapper. Shellfish and types of fish are offered. One can eat it there, or takeaway. Do not miss this place for lunch or dinner!

This is a first rate fish and chip place. They do excellent burgers as well. Ring first to make an order and save some time waiting. Their fish is always reliably good. A very good way to feed a big family. Good opening hours too.

We came from the prawn farm to fish. That was all we were there for. But prawns are âmore shyâ when it is colder and âmost go away with nothingâ. To the restaurant we go, warm up and eat prawns. The prawns were overpriced, not I minded when they were such a fresh quality product. But no, the prawns were disgusting to eat, just a mushy mess. The staff tell me it is the girl prawns cause the issue depending on reproduction cycle. I find this hard to believe, I eat a lot of prawns and while I have had floury mushy prawns before it is usually because of old age or poor preparation. Anyway, They give me a second lot. It was nice they tried but appalling that this appeared to be a daily occurrence for them. The second batch was crap and they gave me a 50% discount. I expected more from a prawn farm restaurant particularly when I suspect this is an ongoing problem. I suggest you avoid the prawns, the squid was not great either.Hi Trish,Sorry to hear you didn't enjoy your visit with us, I'm glad to hear the team gave you an extra batch and discounted for you. We appreciate all feedback so thanks for getting in touch.Cheers,Stacey @HPP

This was a lovely restaurant that we enjoyed our drinks and meals. It appears to be quite family oriented but we had a nice table away from the kids.
