Attached to the Hilton Northbrook. Slow service when busy and food is passable but not beyond the norm for restaurant food. In other words, there are other better options in Northbrook town, but not bad for in-house cuisine if you have no other options available.

This is a very fun and lively place! The food is wonderful, creative, and prepared consistently well. I have been eating here for so many years I can't remember how long it has been! While many customers are Russian or Eastern Europeon, I am not. The quality of the fish is fabulous, I haven't ordered off the menu in years, but Everything members of my party, have ever ordered has been superb! I have gone for lunch and eaten off of the Russian menu and it was delicious and a fun experience. I really liked the Borsht soup, probably didn't spell that correctly! This restaurant has been a gem since it opened, and you really need to eat here! Call before you go! This is really a great restaurant in Northbrook , the owners are both fabulous chefs and have created the menus that their Chef prepares and can customize to your preferences. The staff is great! And yes, since we have been coming here, every ten days, for years, we are like family! Get in here!

We had an incredible family dinner on a cold winter night at Kamehachi Restaurant in Northbrook. This is a first class Japanese restaurant. Server Peter offered superb service. Several guests ordered salmon teriyaki. Unlike other restaurants that smother offerings in salty teriyaki sauce, Kamehachi served a delicious course that was cooked and seasoned to perfection.

Having moved away from the Chicago area, Iâm rarely able to enjoy this great place. Worried it had rested on reputation over the years I hesitated in visiting.Quickly greeted and told the bar was open seating. The restaurant had a short wait. The bartender Jose D greeted me and advised on what I wanted. Great knowledge of the food and didnât steer me wrong. The food arrived quickly and was fantastic. I had clam chowder, and two types of crab. Yes I ate a ton! As I ate the bartender made small talk and made the entire experience better. I will return and am thankful they are still great!

MESA URBANA BISTRO FEATURING MEXICAN FUSION Mesa's Global Cuisine, bustling ambiance, handcrafted cocktails, colorful decor are in keeping with Chicago's finest dining spots. Conveniently located on the North Shore.
First, the food is more interesting than typical Mexican dining, probably because of the fusion component. The menu isn't huge, and it doesn't need to be. The tequila list isn't pages long, but has plenty to choose from. But the food is absolutely outstanding. We had teriyaki chicken in lettuce wrap tacos and the salmon, both resulting in clean plates. The lava cake for desert, which comes with ice cream was similarly devoured. The quac to start comes with an interesting array of shaved radishes for dipping. Finally, our waiter Gary was an absolute dream, attentive and funny and helpful. I don't know how i have missed going to this place; it is fabulous.

Very disappointed with this restaurant tonight. Been here many times. Price of wine and cocktails out of site expensive, previously not so. The hostess at the front desk was so rude. "Get out of my way I'm busy" when I was just checking in for a reservation. No water at the table, had to ask the waitress for water. No fillup on bread. Ordered mushrooms for a pasta dish, and they never showed up. The grilled calamari was non-existent on the plate mostly arugula salad and giardiniera. No utensils(cracker, scissors) for the lobster. The soup was barely warm. and so on...... Come on you can do better then this for a "Let Us Entertain You" restaurant.

I just returned from visiting Blufish Sushi Bistro after a long absence. I was delighted to see that they have enlarged and expanded their restaurant considerably. The new place is far roomier and more spacious, as well as being more attractive. The food was just excellent. The menu is quite extensive. There are plenty of interesting options on the menu. Our waitress was efficient, courteous and quite charming. We were served quickly.
