This is a new eatery in Marettimo offering a range of tuna and seafood products in an informal setting. The staff are very friendly. They also do Cabbucio saandwiches - great for a hike

Went on a busy Saturday night. Resteraunt is part of the slow food movement, definitely typical Sicilian food that is made with care. Great cuttlefish in brandy stew you could tell it is fresh. The special was couscous with fresh (but boney) fish. Pasta was also good. All round a good resteruant.

Il Pirata has lovely views over the water if you can find a table near the window. It is a popular restaurant and reservations are important at busy times. The staff and service are very friendly and helpful. On our recent visit we had a delicious dish of gnocchi with gamberi and thoroughly recommend it. This was followed by fresh strawberries. Prices are fair and comparable with the other good restaurants on the island. We would definitely return here on our next visit.

Great view. Good service. Wonderful place for a drink. Each time we sat down for a drink the waitress brought us nibbles to eat too. Particular mention forVanessa the waitress who was a cut above the normal standard.

Do not sit inside, only on setup outdoors by water. Another family run place in Marettimo. Large scale, bustling serving good food. Full of Italians and Sicilians but lack charm or Cambusa, for example. Kitchen exhaust fan might blow greasy fumes your way if wind is just right.
Where to eat Sicilian food in Marettimo: The Best Restaurants and Bars

This restaurant is set on the hillside a little above Marettimo port. It is not easy to find, having only one inconspicuous sign at the end of the road leading to it, but we recommend that you persevere. Any local can direct you. Reservations are essential at busy times including evening weekends. The restaurant is spacious, unlike many where the tables are crammed together, and are set on a terrace with a lovely view over the town (except at night it is dark so you can't see anything!). We had two extremely good meals there - local pasta with fish and a vegetarian pasta. They were perfectly cooked and very tasty. Service was very efficient and prices fair for the quality. This is definitely on our list of places to return to.

Sun was settting across the Tyrrenian Sea and in the distance I could see a dark blue mountainous island rising sharply into the evening sky. I arrived on the Island of Marattimo after flying from Rome to Trapani, shuttle bus from Trapani to the Port then ferry to Marattimo. Stepping on to the harbour at Marattimo all the tiredness disappeared, there was a peacefulness I could feel immediately.I was starving, found my wonderful B & B then headed off to find something to eat. At the end of my little cobble stone street were a handful of tables and chairs under the palms facing into the sea. There was no menu and I didn't have enough Italian to order food. I simply said I'm hungry.... A basket of fresh crusty bread arrived, a glass of vino blanco and a plate of ruby red tomatoes with thinly sliced fresh tuna on top, drizzled with olive oil and a little basil. The tomatoes heady with the perfume of a hot summers day, the tuna melted away, the olive oil a fragrant creamy green. What a heady glorious mix; the food, the fishing boats bobbing in the little harbour, the moon light glistening across the water on a balmy evening and here I sat with the best meal I have ever eaten. I simply said I'm hungry and a beautiful delicious meal arrived served with warmth and generosity. Grazie mille! The following day I headed back to find Caffe Tramontana closed for winter. I consider my one night a serendipity moment in time a gift!
