My wife and I went for lunch today. What a lunch it was. I had topside of Beef and the wife had pork. The portions were enormous, superbly cooked and presented and well worth the £13 per meal. There were various options on the âSpecials boardâ and menu to suit all tastes. If you want good food friendly service then you will not be disappointed. It well worth a visit. However, I would suggest you starve yourself before you go or ask for a doggy bag. We will definitely return.

We spent a lovely day in Rye, a trip to the Castle, meandering along the cobbled streets taking in all the individual shops, cafe's and places of interest. We had researched places to eat before we went and managed to find Marino's amongst the beautiful tiny streets. We were not disappointed, the food was delicious, freshly cooked and served by attentive staff. It was reasonably priced and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We would definitely recommend this lovely restaurant/take away.

We stayed in Rye recently and Webbes was recommended to us, we are SO glad we listened! This is one of the best restaurants we have ever been toThis place has everything just right. Warm welcoming staff who had that rare combination of being friendly without going too far and a wonderfully knowledgeable and enthusiastic manageress. Lovely simple but very tasteful decor. Highly imaginative cocktails and a wine list that didn't break the bank. Not an overly extensive menu but some really nice and unusual options. Now - the food was FANTASTIC, every thing perfectly cooked and beautifully presented, decent portions too.The fact that Rye is not a huge place and this was a Tuesday evening, it was full - that surely says it all.I just wish they had a similar restaurant closer to homeThank you

Britannia Inn is "The Only Pub in Dungeness"! We are located in between two lighthouses in Dungeness and at the heart of Dungeness estates. It's a few minutes walk from "Dungeness Train station" of Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch Railway. If you drive, please f
You only get one chance to make a good first impression; sadly the Britannia Inn failed. We walked to the pub for supper. I don't expect to be the first to say hello when entering an establishment which is virtually empty. We were greeted with a virtual grimace rather than a smile. Are we here to eat? Well yes! It's 7pm on a FRIDAY night. Oh but the kitchen closed at 6.30pm. No real apology or sincere chat. We might have stayed for a drink. We asked what time the kitchen closed over the weekend. And they couldn't agree. What we were told didn't match what it said on their website. And in the end we didn't bother. Their loss. We were staying in Dungie for the week and might have eaten here two or three times. In the end we found THE BEST fish n chips in New Romney- Fish and Peri. Awesome. And a damn sight cheaper too! Went there instead.
