There is no Ruthie's at all. DId they open and flop right away? Small town, it could have been just about anything.

We have heard many good things about Paradiso and decided to give it a try.We were greeted upon arrival and seated right away. Our server, Alicia, was very knowledgeable about the menu . The Calamari appetizer was very good, the house salads were fresh and "just enough" One of us had the chicken parm and the other a ribeye. Both dishes were excellent and done correctly. There is dessert menu but we were at our limit and sadly had to pass. However we did see pasta dishes being prepared right at the table! Its on our list for next time. We have heard that any seafood entrée is very good here. Again, next time!!Good morning,We were so glad to read this positive review!Thank you for taking the time to support our business by leaving such a rave review. We look forward to serving you again soon!Best,Andrew and Tiffany

We enjoyed a Sunday afternoon dinner to celebrate a birthday. The grouper entree was delicious. Others enjoyed various shrimp and scallops dishes. Too full to eat dessert there, we got carrot cake to go. This was a disappointment being very dry, having too much of a spice (clove?)and a frosting that was not very cream cheesy. The setting overlooking the water (if not the decrepit shipyard on one side) was pretty on this sunny day.

As a regular of the Norfolk, VA, 21st location, I am obviously a fan of Captain D's. I was excited to visit the Elizabeth City location prior to seeing a play at the College of the Albemarle. I was surprised to note the windows, every window, to be so dirty as we approached. We speculated that perhaps there had been a windy storm recently. I don't think so. The windows inside were equally smeared and dirty. My fish and hush puppies were good. My husband said his crab cakes were okay, a bit burned. Before we left, I used the Ladies Room. I was dismayed to find a toilet seat barely attached and a "running" toilet. Does this location get a regular management inspection? Honestly, it was hard to imagine it is the same company. Lots of folks eating in while we were there. Obviously they like the location. Hope to return a find clean windows and a suitable restroom.

Patrons seated on either side of the bar counter, everybody was obviously ready and waiting for the new season's oysters. The shuckers moved quickly bringing in their pails. This was a return visit to this restaurant for us and our peck of steamed oysters were sweet and delicious. I tried the clam chowder first but was disappointed - canned cubed potatoes not a good idea. Chocolate Silk Pie was recommended for dessert - the perfect ending for those with a sweet tooth !

Quality Seafood Market is a locally owned seafood restaurant and retail store located in downtown Elizabeth City, NC offering a variety of fresh seafood along with a full menu of North Carolina homestyle dinners.
I stopped in here to take a chance on seafood at a great price. Glad I did. The place was packed with locals, clean, and the staff was friendly. My food was ready in no time and served hot. I chose the fried oysters and they were delicious. If you are in the area you have to stop here. Great food at a great price!

Pleasant, casual cafe type atmosphere. Nice view of the river. Very good crab cakes and the tuna steak was excellent. Decent variety on the menu. This place could use a bigger, better sign out front, but if you are from out of town, take the time to find this little gem.
