We have had lunch twice and really loved it.You can have a simple lunch (salads, omelette, grilled fish and mussels) or go for a good meal with lobster or bouillabaisse. The location is very special: just a simple terrace built over the water with a splendid view over the Mediterranean.Very nice and polite waiters. You really have to make a reservation or take the later shift around 14.30-15.00 for lunchNo dinner

Couple in this restaurant in aiguebelle. The meal was average, the prize was higher. You have to know that there was no other restaurant opened anymore at that time. The service was excellent and the cook came out after dinner and talked to all the other clients except us. The older couples must eat there everyday, we did not.

There's no doubt that the best thing about this place is the location, in a pretty courtyard amongst the alleyways of Le Lavandou, set back a little way from the sea front. More than half the available tables are outside. We visited on a Sunday evening and had not made a booking (the more highly-rated places were all full). We were offered a table in the alleyway which benefits from electric radiant heaters. Service was fast but charmless. There's an extensive menu. We went for the Menu Mediterranne(â¬32) and the Menu Lavandou (â¬26). A bottled beer (IPA) was â¬5.80 and a 50cl bottle of sparkling mineral water (Perrier) was â¬3.50.Unfortunately, the food was very poor. This is tourist catering on a large scale and it showed. Food was not freshly prepared but seemed like it came from a conveyor belt. Which is a good analogy for this place, as a whole. Get 'em in, feed them poor quality dishes and then get them out again. Flavours were lacking, textures were dull and lifeless. My lamb tagine was full of bones while my wife's fish had been cooked to death and was full of bones. The fruit salad and ice cream was perhaps the highlight of our meal. Most of the puddings were covered with spray cream. We have had many better meals in Le Lavandou. The moral of this tale is: book (somewhere better) in advance!Overall bill for three courses, two people, came to â¬67.30 without wine.

We had loup, simply grilled but absolutely splendid. It came with beautifully displayed vegetables based very much on tomatoes and garlic beautiful accompaniments. The surroundings were typically French, not posh but comfortable and over the road from a delightful beach. Not cheap but great food and service

Visited twice. First time good, but second visit a really bad experience1) wine on the menu not available2) out of a type of seefood were promised extra shrimps- none came. 3) A salad with marinated tuna existed of large 3cm uneven chunks of raw tuna and none of the other ingrediensens except from some leeks and Lemon juice.4) out of aioli - nothing to replace it with5) Main dishes were supposed to be served with chips - out of them as well. In came the kind of frozen potatoes you buy at the super market.6) the rom in the drinks was so warm that ice melted before reaching the tables (these were later deducted). 7) Last but not least: when complaining We were met by a very rude unpleasant owner who blaimed us for his unability to serve the food from his own menue. Chers clients nous savons d ou vous venez et qui vous envoie alors continuez donc à fréquenter cet établissement et surtout ne venez plus pourrir la notoriété de notre établissement. Bien à vous.
