Very atmospheric place to eat, with brilliant service and tasty Thai food. Extensive menu, although if you prefer food Thai spicy please ask, as the roof caters for people who like medium spiced food. The cocktail menu is great, try a aTorpedo! The wine list is comprehensive and caters for all tastes and budget. We were staying at the Andaman hotel and ate here 3 times, that tells you how good this restaurant is. It is only a 10 minute walk up the beach, and Thayer will provide a buggy from the beach restaurant up to the lobby, although the walk up to the restaurant is beautiful.

We went to this resturant on a rainy night in Langkawi and had cold beer and good food. Do not go here for fine dining or excellent wine. Order whiskey on the rocks or cold beer.
This resturant is owned by a couple as I understand it and is frequented by numerous regular patrons based on the conversations going on at the bar - everyone knew one another.
This place offers excellent, modestly priced dinner fair in a roofed open air setting. There are numerous daily specials in addition to the menu.
We would go back but ask to be sat on the absolute edge of the resturant as everyone in this place smokes - there is no way to avoid it so do not go if you cannot abide smoking whilst you eat. It was hard on us as we obviously do not smoke.

The Verandah lounge epitomizes the glory of an era gone by, with its soaring high ceilings, magnificent chandeliers and towering pillars. The open plan living area and the cigar bar is the perfect setting to enjoy cocktails once the sun has set. Guest will have a choice either to sit at the bar, indoor or outdoor area. This intimate lounge aims to charm the guest with its modishness prior to or after dinner.
Whilst staying at The Danna Hotel, we had some after-dinner drinks in The Verandah. They have an amazing list of drinks (cocktails, wine etc) and they often have entertainment such as singers or a pianist as well. The service was exceptional and it's a lovely atmosphere in the evening.

Meals are delicious, fresh and nice on the eye. You dont need to wait long for the food to arrive. Best to book in advance to secure a table as the restaurant is quite popular. Local inspired dishes are very reasonable priced under 80 RM.

It was quiet as we went over the Chinese New Year holidays and also the restaurant is fairly new and located upstairs on the building. Service was excellent,we had complimentary kimchi, cabbage, egg rolls, sweet potatoes, green spinach with sesame seed, and another vegetable with our choice of two beef BBQ sets..The beef was juicy and tender..we allowed the staff who were more than willing to grill it for us. We also ordered the Ox bone soup.which had no bone..just its meat in clear soup with vermicelli and that was delicious!!
Great view of the harbour and boats. Wifi free and open setting where it was breezy. To finish we were served Vanilla ice cream. Their tea selection was authentic Korean. Not bad,the bill came to 180MYR for the four of us.

Offers the quintessential British-Malayan cuisine and the tradition of partaking in afternoon tea would not go astray in the archetypal colonial settings of the Straits & Co. Located on the ground floor, overlooking the infinity pool, the café carries the concept of offering exquisite local favourites and traditional snacks.
This restaurant was only a five minute drive away from Sky Cable and we came here for lunch. We were warmly welcomed by several hotel staff upon arriving at the hotel entrance, and the table was ready for us without advance booking.
Service in the restaurant was attentive and there are only three tables including ours. We ordered four different rice dish to share and they are all authentic and delicious. The price is reasonable for the restaurant in this hotel. It is a pleasure to dine here.

Inspired by earthy-hues, this sleek and swanky restaurant & bar is more than ideal for our guests to unwind as warm natural daylight floods this modernly furnished beige-dominating restaurant. With delighting views of the Andaman sea, our guests may opt to dine by the pool or within the comfort of air-conditioned. The Terrace is open for lunch and dinner and offers all-time favourites such as handmade Italian pizzas baked in our wood fire oven, fresh seafood dishes, sandwiches and other light meals. Featuring Chef Andrea Buson who hails from Italy, he will delight our guests with a host of authentic Italian specialties. In addition, our guests can appreciate Happy Hours or sipping of their favourite cocktails at the bar overlooking the infinity pool and ocean; its pavilion is a beautiful spot to admire the universe as the sun sets.
Our last night and we certainly saved the best 'till last.
As with everything at the Danna the service was second to none and the food was exquisite and the setting was seriously stunning. The outside tables have the benefit of a ceiling fan and the great view.
I had the scallops followed by probably the best cod loin I have ever had and my wife had the egg plant and sea bass, which she thoroughly enjoyed as well
All washed down with a delicious bottle of Mondavi Sauvignon blanc and change out of £100
Great value. It is usually booked up, so get in early
