Handcrafted Burgers
Cute little place. Hamburger buns are top quality. Burgers are really good. Food was served very warm. In other reviews I read people were all excited about the tater tots. I thought maybe these were super special tater tots. They are just tater tots. Served warm. A nice change from fries. You get one free soda refill which is fair cause the glasses are quite large. Although they do take credit cards they appreciate cash which is understandable. We are glad we ate here.

We were very happy to find this coffee shop across the highway from our hotel. Great, fresh scones and muffins in a clean, attractive setting.

This is actually one of those drive through coffee huts that you see so many of in the Northwest. The coffee was great. It was in a building that looked like a old wagon that the early settlers used and the lady running it that day was very friendly.I have a great picture of the coffee "wagon". Thought it would be good to give a little guy a good plug and not just the big guys.
So happy to find this very cute and drive in coffee place in Packwood. Again, we were so desperate for a decent cup of coffee after the diswasher water quality coffee at our hotel in Yakima. An excellent coffee machine here and a pleasant service. As long as hotels have not understood that it might be favourable for their business to serve decent coffee at breakfast, these little coffee places will flourish.

Recommended by our hotel and by trip advisor. No smoking inside. Great basic bar food like burgers, fish and chips, tacos, etc. Different special every night. Beer specials. Locals and tourists with no conflict. Good service from #12. Beer and water served in Mason jars. Enormous taco salad for $9.99. Great local atmosphere.

Packwood does not have much to offer in the way of eating establishments, so we were just looking for passable fare during our 2 night stay. The delicious Italian food my wife and I enjoyed at this restaurant was therefore quite the unexpected treat. I had a simple fettuccine Alfredo, but the noodles were cooked just right and the sauce was flavorful and of perfect consistency. Even the presentation was what I might have expected from a much fancier restaurant, such as the nice bread offered with balsamic vinegar and olive oil dipping sauce. My only disappointment was that the restaurant was not open on our second night in Packwood.

Scratch is in an older, though well-maintained, wooden building looking out on the water. It’s large windows and wooden exterior along with pleasant but not loud music made for a very pleasant ambience. The waitress was very welcoming, informative about the food, and checked on us regularly. The food was made fresh and was tasty. I had the veggie omelet which was well-prepared along with a pancake that had a nice flavor of the grill. My wife had a veggie skillet and sausage on the side and was very pleased with her dish. Prices are a little high but you get good value.

We were sent here from our hotel in town, and were disappointed. Our pizzas were fine, but the restaurant was clearly understaffed, with tables waiting to be bused and garbage piling up. Lots of flies buzzing around. Our kids were disappointed that the row of vintage video games were all out of order, and the women at the counter weren't accommodating when I asked to modify my order. It appears to be the only option for dinners in Packwood, and it shows.
