I have consumed many a pizza in my life. This was, by far, the best I've ever had...and that includes many Chicago pizza places. Generous toppings; delicate garlic butter on the crust; cooked properly.
Also had the Dots. Now, you may have seen that Domino's has Dots as well. They obviously stole the idea from Mio Pizza, and completely screwed it up. The Dots at Mio Pizza have a ton of flavor in the garlic-Parmesan butter that coats them, and dipping them into the mild queso cheese is absolutely heaven.
Look for the giant pink elephant in front of the business.

Decent prices. Friendly staff. Good food. Big portions. 21 shrimp plate was very filling. So was the clam plate. The Greek salad seemed to have a can of beets on it with not too much lettuce. The spaghetti sauce seemed homemade as it didn't taste commercial: it had huge chunks of meat and tomatoes in it. I'd like to try this place again when passing through.

Big group of us riding on the rzr 's and came across this place. Stopped for lunch and was pleasantly surprised! Everything that everyone ordered was excellent!!! Not one person was unhappy. Pretzel sticks for an appetizer were great. I ordered the raspberry chicken salad and it was phenomenal. Would highly recommend!

Our group goes out every Friday evening for dinner in the West Branch area and this past week we decided to try Walkers.
Our first impression was not good as the place is definitely dated back to the 60's and it was nearly empty at the height of the dinner hour.
We were discussing just having a drink and leaving, until a few of us got up and went to the salad bar, (Included w/dinner) and after trying the delicious home made corn relish, the home made slaw and a few other items we decided to stay.
And we were all glad we did.
Our group had the walleye, frog legs, beer battered cod and the kielbasa and everyone loved everything.
Nice size portions and everything was home made by the 85 year old owner, chef and kibitzer, Bill
We got the history of the restaurant dating back to 1946.
Be sure and try it on your next trip north. You'll be pleasantly surprised.

Last year Barb at the Rainbow Resort recommended that we order subs for our canoe trip down the Au Sable River from Deez. The subs are excellent. This year we called ahead on Friday and ordered 11 subs, cheesy garlic bread and pizza for our trip down the river. Everything was ready when we arrived on Saturday and everything was awesome. I highly recommend Deez.

We were on our way to a retreat at Camp Barakel nearby and HAD to get food before we got there. We were a little concerned but stopped anyway. The decor was pleasant (think Mom & Pop local place) and the server was friendly. I loved the salad bar and the others thought their meals were good, as well. I'm glad we took a chance as it worked out well.

I don't know it's because they have a double lane drive thru or that the counter area is too small. But this place is always over crowded and slow. Food is what you expect, but not fast.
