BEYOND THE SEA, the Siamese Brasserie, always welcomes you with the sense of familiarity and inviting atmosphere. Located in ShaSa Resort & Residences, Koh Samui serving authentic thai cuisine presented with a genteel western aesthetic style to deliver a flawless experience. In the early afternoon, the air is filled with the rich aromas of coffee. These give way to clinks of plates into full swing for the evening. Once the sun falls below the horizon into the night, you can share a great conversation with old friends while enjoying a drink from the premium list at the vintage bar.
Beyond the Sea was one of our favorite placs to eat!! The last time we visted it just wasnt as good! To start the staff were pretty non attentive, half the time they didnt seem to be that bothered! The food was not to the stantard as to what we have received previously, espesailly the waygu - it didnt taste like waygu to us! all in all we were let down, but we will return as this could be and we are hoping a one off!! We love the setting and normally the whole scene including the service is brilliant

We went to the Hua Hin rocks and chanced upon this gelataria. Leonardo, the Italian owner is so passionate about his gelatos and they do taste absolutely delicious and refreshing on a hot, humid day. He made us try some really exotic flavours which were not launched in the market. Was a pleasure meeting him and eating at Leanardo Gelataria.

Hemingway's on the Beach serves delicious Thai home cooked food in a relaxed very informal, barefoot setting - perfect for a romantic evening escape. Hemingway's on the Beach can be found at the heart of Thong Krut a sleepy Village on the south coast of Koh Samui. Thong Krut is famous for its views of Koh Tan and Koh Mudsum and through Hemingway's Boat Services you can now visit these Islands on either the Hemingway's Speed Boat or one of three Longtail Snorkelling Boats... The snorkelling on the coral reef just off Koh Tan is exceptional and the bare foot walks along the natural Beaches of Koh Mudsum are romantic and fun at the same time. Hemingway's on the Beach gives you the best that Thong Krut has to offer. Exceptional Food - Exceptional Views - Exceptional Boat Trips.... come and see what everybodies been raving about.
My wife & I visited Hemmingway's on th Beach, on a recommendation today (28 March 2018). The Thai menu is varied and we could not fault the food or the service. We soent time chatting with the UK owner who explained things on the menu and we followed his recommendations.
Everything on the menu is made from scratch using locally sourced produce. At busy times, because everything is made from scratch you may have to wait a minute or two longer than you might like for your food but believe me the wait will ber worth it.
The chef, Jaa, is happy for you to watch her preparing the meals (from the door) and even gives weekly cokkery classes to tourists.
The UK owner is always there and is always ready for a chat about the menu, the weather, Thailand or anything else.
Interestingly the restaurant is named after the dog that he inherrited witht he site 3 years ago, Mr Hemmingway.
Superb food, nice venue, good conversation and reasonably priced. Excellent all round and well worth a visit.
Finally, please note that as there are no hotels or resorts close by they shut every day at 8pm.

Located in the exact centre of Lamai Beach Road, Seventy Fahrenheit couldn't be easier to find. And this position makes it the ideal spot to watch the passing throngs of passers-by that are hopping from shop-to-shop and from bar-to-bar. Seventy Fahrenheit propose a Mediterranean cuisine and also an exciting Thai cuisine menu too, making this restaurant a perfect place to head for to keep all palates happy.
As someone else already said...French cuisine with a Thai twist. Keeping in mind that Lamai's fine dining option are close to zero, this place comes as a solid hope of outstanding dining alternative. That is partially the why behind the Excellent rating. Location is great but parking is a nightmare. The place is contemporary with a chic urban meets beach upscale decor. Always pack so maybe Reservations are in order. Then comes the service. Friendly and devoted and they try really hard with a smile. Dont worry and be happy. You are in Lamai, Thailand not in Chez Vendome so, relax and enjoy the ride. Food is stunning. You need to try the Crab Ravioli. 100% fresh and simply fabulous. The calamari, fantastic. And the roasted duck, cooked to perfection and, yes, the mash potatoes are truly home made and with that old world touch of butter and pepper. The house wine is reasonable priced and is is acceptable.Dessert menu looks very tempting but we had no space. To round it up the check comes with no surprises. If you are planning to visit Lamai, this place is a must see.
