Local, traditional but creative! Matsutake broth on matsutake mousse, perfect reindeer tongue, wine that compliments both... Chef Heikki Nikula really knows what he is doing.! Michelin should visit this place.
Friendly, knowledgeable service and a beautiful view. Sami wedding party next room in their traditional outfits. Lovely, memorable.

Excursions, river boat trips, hiking, accommodation yes, but it is the savoury Lappish meals that you get here for. It may be a bit outdated, but what the heck - so is everything else within a 200 miles radius. Their Reindeer stew or carbonade is the authentic thing, always delicious. Go for it while waiting your boat ride up to the gold panning region of Lemmenjoki River.

Čaiju serves delicious freshly baked cinnamon rolls and sweet and savory pastries. Organic, fair trade filtered coffee and specialty coffees: espresso, cappuccino, latte.
Sajos is about the only place in Inari where you can guarantee the internet will ALWAYS work. 2 computers available for either an hour or half an hour. Very quiet tranquil setting, with a display of Sami handicrafts and movie nights.

If you are in Inari and you want to go out you kind of have to go here. The food is okish for Finland. The beer is decent. The place itself is very very basic, and desolated. When we were visiting the only other gustes were three local humans that were well beyond drunk. They were barely standing. And it was 7pm...

Modern Cafe/lunch restaurant Sarrit (= blueberry in Sámi language) inside the Sámi Museum in Inari Centre. Very tasty lunch in a modern atmosphere is serving in summer time 11 am to 5 pm, and winter time 11 to 3 pm. Free internet.

We had a very good traditional dinner in this lovely hotel restaurant. Every dish was done to perfection. We had soups - mushroom, fish and reindeer - all excellent; for mains - the arctic char, the reindeer pasta and pepper steak - all delicious. Ice cream for dessert ended a perfect meal. Service was nice and professional. I highly recommend the place.
