This place is over a hundred years old and the grounds are lovely. The horses and wranglers are excellent and we loved being immersed in the old west. It’s amazing what happens when you get away from it all, and this is the perfect place to do it.

Your trip to the Valley of the Sun will be a memory you will never forget! Leave the city behind and enjoy the peaceful, scenic Sonoran Desert on one of our many horses. We are proud of our gentle and friendly herd! Call today to check availability!
We went there for the Pumpkin Patch which we realized was only for the month of October ! We did not pay a fee to enter the grounds. There were horses there that you can ride for a fee obviously, we have not done it but we will go back . There are other animals like goats , pigs and lot of birds , very relaxing just to chill and enjoy outdoors. They also have a hay maze , great for kids. It is very easy to find , just keep going North on Scottsdale Rd, about 10 minutes away from the 101 freeway.

Best day ever! If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Have lived in AZ for 40+ years and first time going horseback riding out here. In searching for a place to go in the East Valley I came across MD Ranch. BEST place to pick! Matt was so patient with the youngest rider (7 yrs yrs) and the one of the oldest riders (will skip age). The 7 yr old was both scared and excited about doing it. Matt was very patient with her putting her on the horse and making sure she felt at ease. The oldest needed special care in getting on and off the horse (thank you Matt). The ride was great and very scenic. Matt conversed with the 3 children while on the ride to make them feel at ease. He held the reigns of the youngest for her to feel safe. Our son and Matt got along great, they have the same sense of humor. Once the ride was over the 7 year old was asked if she liked it. She said yes (with a big smile) and said I want to do this again. BEST RECOMMNEDATION!!

We signed up with Groupon for a 90-minute trail ride. Due to Covid The Groupon expired but when I called the office they said they would definitely honor it whenever I wanted to schedule a ride. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The horses were very tame as most customers were first time riders. Our trail guide was very knowledgeable and she took our pictures during the ride as well. This is a great place to bring out of towners visiting the area, too!
