San Anselmo is located 1.5 miles (2.4 km) west of San Rafael, at an elevation of 46 feet (14 m). It is located about 20 miles (32 km) north of San Francisco. The town is bordered by San Rafael to the east, Fairfax to the west, and Ross to the south. Mount Tamalpais dominates the view to the south. The population was 12,336 at the 2010 census.

We were traveling thru the area and stopped at this pub. Parking is a bit tight as you need to find a vacant spot on the street. But the Pub oozes old world charm. Very friendly and helpful staff, good food, great beer. And we happened to visit during one of their trivia nights. Not just any trivia, this was very high octane trivia. So fun to be a part of.

Cyclists make this their post ride destination for good reason. Prompt service, cold drinks (beer) and the self proclaimed 'French laundry of sausages '. Best bet is to get there when they open. Inside bike hangers fill up quickly as the conversation and laughter creates the ideal din following a long morning ride.

I have been here many times. The food is consistently great. The atmosphere is warm and friendly and they have a cozy outside deck with plants (a banana tree) and colorful mosaics. The service is excellent and the chef/owner Bill is a really great guy and always welcoming. This is one of my favorite places to eat. I highly recommend it.

The place where we had planned to eat was closed, so this was our other option. We had light lunches, alongside beers, and were very happy with the meals, the service, and the beers, (especially the pomegranate one! ) .Thank you so much for your nice review. They have a large beer selection, although the one special had just run out when we were there. Almost everyone in the restaurant ordered pizza from what I could tell. The pizzas are about 12" and good for two people to share although you may want another dish or salad if you are really hungry. We asked the bartender for a recommendation since we couldn't decide between two options and he said the Geronimo pizza. It did not disappoint and the burrata on top made it so delicious. I have already recommended this place to some friends and can't wait to go back!
