After a bit of a stroll in Makawao, we tried this place for lunch. A nice interior with outside seating and a big bar. We did sit outside and had a local hen as a hostess. We had drinks and ordered Pickle Fries and split the Island Ahi plate. Delicious! We would stop again for sure!! Service was great and the local patrons were obviously having a good time too.

The Ale House has new owners, new AC and a new 7-page menu!!!! Did you know we are a full service restaurant AND sports bar? Prior to the new ownership, the Ale House was known around the island as a sports bar...but the new owners saw a need in Kahului f
We are locals. It's definitely where the locals go. Typically we sit at the bar because we adore the staff there...Betsy, Ani, Alvin and others. They make ono licious Thai Lettuce Wraps, pork and beef burger is da bomb, all sandwiches w/fries...my sis gets chicken wings or their pizza. Portions are large; you won't go hungry. More than 30 mounted TV played a variety of sports venues. It can be loud if crowded. Air conditioned so great on a hot day which we usually have. Clean, parking, and well established.

Based on reviews we decided to give Marcoâs a try for lunch and we were not disappointed. Upon entering we were greeted by the friendly staff and promptly seated. The menu was quite diverse but we settled on sandwiches with pasta salad. I choose the tuna melt and my wife choose the tuna sandwich. The servings were very generous and the food was excellent. As good as the sandwiches were the pasta salad was outstanding. For dessert we ordered the lemon cake and it was excellent as well. Overall I definitely recommend Marcoâs and will return.

We were driving back to our hotel after a day of sightseeing and stopped again in Paia......LOVE this small town! We had previously eaten breakfast at Charley's a few days earlier and were on our way back there for lunch when we passed Rock & Brews. To be honest, we walked right past it....thought it wasn't our kind of place, but then we went back, looked at their menu, and decided to give it a shot. SO glad that we did!First of all, Monica was a terrific server. She was friendly (LOVED the Paia shopping tips that she gave me.......mahalo!!!)........ answered our questions about menu selections & gave recommendations for both drinks and food.Trust me........you CANNOT go wrong with either the Mango Mojito or Pineapple Mojito! Both were deliciously refreshing. Then again, you will be quite happy with either the Backstage Burger or the Ultimate Burger. Both were prepared perfectly to our medium-rare request and had the wonderful char-grilled flavor that we love. A good selection of side dishes for those burgers too.....black beans, slaw, sticky rice, or fries. My spouse ordered Onion Rings.....yep, downright the best! Like I said, we were glad that we decided to have lunch here...it has a rock vibe with lots of great ongoing music/music videos. Be sure to ask for patio dining.........a great breeze made our good lunch even better!Wow thanks so much for your review! We love to read reviews like yours! So pleased to hear how well Monica took care of you guys and that you ordered some of our very popular menu items. We hope to have you back very soon. Cheers!

Paia maintains its small-town, old Hawaii charm, and is now a bustling destination with restaurants, bars, shopping, coffee and gelato. At Charleyâs you never know who might be sitting next to you. Itâs long been a favorite hang-out for surfers, adventure
I'm a returning costumer. We came the last time we visited Maui a few years ago and we wanted to come here again for lunch. We had a large group in which we were seated right away. Service was fast and friendly. Food was good, everybody I was with was happy with their meal too. I will definitely come back again on my next visit to Maui.I'm thrilled you decided to come back on your recent trip with a large group! We love serving up incredible food quickly, and I'm delighted you enjoyed everything. We look forward to serving you again on your next trip.Until then,Jonathan, Owner

My husband, daughter, 8 yo grandson and I happenstanced upon this restaurant and were very pleased with the experience. Even though we did not have reservations, we were early enough that the staff accommodated us. The restaurant was small enough to provide a restful dining experience--we didn't miss the lack of noise. The mixed olive appetizer was served warm and wonderfully tasty. We ordered various sushi and rolls and all were very creatively presented. We would like to say that by the time we left the restaurant, it was no longer a two-dollar experience but rather a four-dollar experience. The $$ review is misleading. The restaurant is on the pricey side if you wish to feel as if you had enough to eat. We spent over $200 and only had one cocktail each. But, all in all, a great dining experience and we would return.
