Reviews on Pub food in Newcastle upon Tyne, England, United Kingdom. Once a shipbuilding city, Newcastle's flashier claim to fame is nightlife. Throw in a heap of premium restaurants serving foods from all over the world and it's no wonder young partiers choose to blow their hard-earned (or not-so-hard-earned) cash in Newcastle. While these amenities are certainly a draw for the hipsters and culture-seekers, it's the locals that make Newcastle a truly special place to visit. "Geordies," as they are often called, embody the pride, industriousness and resilient spirit of their city.

Weâre big on warmth, low on fussiness: stripped wood floors, high bar stools, painted brickwork and comfy leather banquettes. Sup your pint beside our polished-oak bar or tuck yourself away in the Snug behind the frosted glass partition. You can hear your
The food was all excellent, I had a couple of small plates - pork pie with brilliant piccalilli pickle, and deep fried cauliflower with a lovely curried dip. Service was swift and efficient, my only gripe was the excessive noise from a large group we were sat next to. Not the restaurant's fault, but it took the edge off an otherwise 5* meal

The Bridge Tavern is an independent Brewpub & Eatery nestled directly beneath the stanchions of The Tyne Bridge
Just under the Tyne bridge is this classic British pub, looks recently renovated, great pub food (vegetarian friendly). Great food and always has guests â even when Newcastle is quiet earlier in the week. They take reservations â recommended. Try the bone marrow steak with triple cooked chips.

The Cosy Dove pub and Dining Rooms was established in 2016. Our menu offers both traditional and modern British Cuisine, and all our dishes are freshly prepared. Wherever possible we source ingredients from local farms and suppliers.
As soon as you walk in you feel right at home due to the friendly atmosphere. I chose to have Minestrone soup for my starter followed by Steak and Ale pie. My wife chose for her main Chicken in a basket with chips. The food was excellent and very filling, neither of us could manage a pudding although tempted by the varied selection.Got talking to the chef who told me how he cooked the Gin battered cod (next visit) and his triple meat burger (visit after the cod). I asked if I could live ther but the answer was no. Great food, great service and very reasonably priced.Thankyou Michael, looking forward to seeing you again soon!!!!

Years working in bars - and even longer visiting them - made us want to do it ourselves, focusing on everything we love about this industry: Great drinks, tasty food and BBQ. With that in mind, we cook low and slow BBQ everyday. To keep our quality the hi
We visited here after seeing amazing reviews online, however we were both severely disappointed. Positives: Chicken wings for starters were great and freshly cookedGreat drink selectionQuirky place with great atmosphereGood girl who served us was brilliantNegatives: dry burgers Reheated chipsServed in baskets (like you would expect in a dingy takeaway)Expensive for the quality of ingredients I am a proper foodie and will eat almost anything, and I left a lot of my burger cause it was so dry. Such a shame! Might be worth investing in better quality meat and cooking it lessI love the idea of this place but have to say I was so disappointed

Had an amazing night last night at Earl of Pitt street . The staff were all delightful, and the food was spectacular.Started the evening off downstairs where the bar staff had kindly reserved an area with seating for 10 of us . Then upstairs for the food .Every member of the group had wonderful food , all served at the same time and not too long to wait .Can highly recommend the chicken and paneer skewers as a starter, and the lamb Penang was so good .Good wine list too.Canât wait to go back . Would highly recommend this place.

After another amazing time at this fantastic restaurant we thought it would be a good idea to write a review. After leaving again tonight feeling very happy with the food and the amazing five star service. A very busy night, but our food was amazing again, the scallops for starters were out of this world and our main dishes were just as good. The desserts which our very friendly waitress, Danielle, helped us choose were amazing. We keep returning to this particular restaurant as the service is fantastic. They always accommodate us as best they can and try to get us in a booth, both Adam and Danielle have served us and found them to be so professional, polite and go out there way for us. We would like to thank both Adam & Danielle for making us feel very welcome. We will be returning.Prices are very good for what you get. Thanks guys!!
