Find out what Pub restaurants to try in La Ceiba. La Ceiba (Spanish pronunciation: [la ˈseiβa]) is a port city on the northern coast of Honduras in Central America. It is located on the southern edge of the Caribbean, forming part of the south eastern boundary of the Gulf of Honduras. With an estimated population of over 200,000 living in approximately 170 residential areas (called colonias or barrios), it is the third largest city in the country and the capital of the Honduran department of Atlántida. La Ceiba was officially founded on 23 August 1877. The city was named after a giant ceiba tree which grew near the old dock. The dock itself finally fell into the sea in late 2007. The city has been officially proclaimed the "Eco-Tourism Capital of Honduras" as well as the "Entertainment Capital of Honduras". Every year, on the third or fourth Saturday of May, the city holds its famous carnival to commemorate Isidore the Laborer (Spanish San Isidro Labrador). During this time, the city is host to approximately 500,000 tourists.

I heard so much about Sebas and when my fave cafe across the street was closed for lunch, I decided to walk into Sebas. I was disappointed with the low seats and the salty lunch. I ordered a grilled steak on their set lunch menu. The saving grace was their dessert - really good. I don't think I would recommend or take anyone to Sebas.

A small hotel on the Beach like a Bed and Breakfast
Our mission team of 11 ate a very late dinner here recdntly. Richard was totally accomodating. The food was good , sandwiches, pasta, fries, seafood, etc. The service was a bit slow because the power kept going out- no real worries. Prices were fair enough and he was very friendly and spent much time visiting with us. The beach location is the real draw for this place. Super.I hope is not late to say thank you,I just wanted you to know that we truly enjoy your stay with us and feel honored to be chosen La Delphina. thank you Richard

This isn't going to be street food, but they do make a mean meal and it's right across the street from the overpriced gringo souvenir shop. (Make sure you haggle, you're already paying way more than you should be- almost everything there looks like the same stuff you get in every Central American/Latin American airport shop). The drinks weren't weak, the food was great, and the people were nice. It may or may not be out of the way depending on where you're staying, but in reality, a cab fare should only be 20-30 limpiras per person anyhow, so just suck it up and get some good food.

A well-stocked bar and restaurant, with great service. Indoor and outdoor service, extensive and affordable menu. They even offer hookah rental! Definitely worth checking out.

My wife and I have been here several times during our stay in La Ceiba. Excellent every time. The service was friendly and attentive. Genuinely cared about you experience. The food was exceptional. Beautiful presentations, generous portions, very inexpensive, fresh and delicious. Great drinks, great views of the beach and park from the upstairs deck. Highly recommended. Try the lobster!

Our family has been living in the more remote Miskito Coast area of Honduras and were in La Ceiba picking up some family from the airport. Craving something of higher quality than the plato tipico, we took the short drive over to Paradise Found and found more than we expected. The property is very cute and the atmosphere in the palapa is perfect for relaxing over great food and Caribbean views. We ordered burgers, which as many reviewers have noted, are outstanding...one of the best we've ever had. We happened to mention that we had been sorely missing leafy green vegetables (they are rare in the Miskito Coast), and Dante whipped up a simple and delicious salad that was just what we were needing. He threw in a side of Swiss chard that was out of this world. Oh...we forgot to mention that the prices are better than what you pay for sub-par food at other hotel restaurants in Ceiba. Not only was the food great, but we had a great time chatting with Dante and Kristin...they made us feel right at home. We will definitely be back the next time we are in the area.Glad you enjoyed the Hydroponic lettuce and fresh Swiss Chard! Next time you need a sabbatical from the remoteness of La Moskitia, please come back to Sambo and visit us.God´s Speed,Dante´& Kristin
