Trying regular, LCHF, chips and salad we've hardly covered the menu. Attentive service (choosing the level of doneness was a welcome treat) and a lot to choose from the drink options made it a spot to definitely return to. One fault - difficult to overlook sauces left on plates that hardly stood up to the promises on the menu.

The food, snacks and other offer are good, the staff depends who serves you, but the place is always crowded and with music at a very high volume, so it's chaotic and it's difficult to hear your company talking.

Mai piu Izola is local bar under the stands of the city stadium. It's designed in a typical Istrian style and is decorated with tradiotional images of Izola. In the bar they have a wall of fame of sport athletes from Izola, a large collection of vinyl records and CDs and also they have a physical music archive of the web portal muzikobala.com, where they collect music releases of coastal musicians. Above all, Mai piu have the best coffee in Izola .

We too visited Bar Bariera in September - as part of very extended birthday celebrations!! The staff always went out of their way to make us welcome and accommodate our small or large group (which varied depending upon size of hangovers from the night before!). If you visit Izola (as we have a couple of times in the past three years) you must visit Bar Bariera for friendly Slovenian hospitality

As we where staying in the apartments above the bar this was our regular watering hole. great selection of local and not so local bottled beers. reasonably priced and the staff are always happy to recommend different beers depending on your taste. Tables outside catch the late evening sun .

We got the best table with sea view and sun set. When we started to order food our great waiter Al Jouscha suggested local food that was excellent!!Thank you Anna for helping with the reservation and AlJoschua for a great evening! Excellent food and service!Ps today we had two beer and Girice for lunch

We had a dinner here and it was fantastic. The place is nice, close to the harbour. The staff is very friendly and kind. We ordered a brancin with mangold and plejska with lepinja. Both of them were delicious. For drink we drank malvazija and refoska, plus some water. Finally we just paid 30 eur for everything. Price/value is absolutely good, recommended place.
