Thought I would give this place another try as the first experience was mixed. This time everything was not very good. Our food was very average at best. Dirty tables everywhere. We were not impressed.

We went to BWW for lunch. The staff was friendly and the service was excellent. The lunch menu allows you to make personalized combinations for a very reasonable price. The complimentary tacos were fabulous. Great for kids since BWW provides interactive game consoles.
We're big craft beer fans and were really looking forward to Brass Tap opening. The selection of beers is decent, but the food disappointed. I get that taste in foods is subjective, but my husband and I were both underwhelmed. First off, my house salad with shrimp came out well before my husband's dinner so I had to start eating without him or let my shrimp go cold. The shrimp were cooked OK, not a great sear, but not overcooked so no complaints there. The salad itself was nothing but greens and some chopped roasted red peppers with a little shredded mozzarella. (see photo) Meh. My kingdom for some other vegetables! The balsamic dressing (on the side for me) was too sweet so a vinegar and oil option would be nice. My husband had the chicken tacos which turned out to be two tacos, each composed of two cold mini corn tortillas filled with underseasoned chicken, a little cheese and greens. Slightly stale chips on the side came with a small container of thin salsa. The overlapped tiny tortillas (see photo) used in place of a real, taco-sized tortilla made the tacos difficult to eat and there's not much excuse for not bothering to grill or at least heat the tortillas. All in all, we just felt the kitchen put minimal effort into the food. My IPA would have been better a few degrees colder. I know Brass Tap is new and locally owned and I wish them the best. I really hope they up their game. Note: It can be noisy inside.
I don't often go to the trouble to write a totally bad review but this is an exception. I much prefer to encourage good business practices but when none are present, it is time to let people know.I believe a chain restaurant has a standard of service below which they will not operate, This Applebee's went far below that standard.Once seated, I placed my arm on the table and immediately found it sticky. I mean after I lifted my arm, there was gunk all over it. I took the napkin from the silverware and started cleaning the table, it came up black. My wife squirted hand sanitizer on the table and I removed more black gunk.At this point, we should have been alerted to the noticeably slow service because we cleaned the table twice before the server arrived. When I showed her the gunked up napkin she started to leave saying she would get the bus boy. Probably the same one who left a mess in the first place. We said "no thank you." I asked for another napkin. The drink order took 10 mins in a restaurant with less than 10 customers. That should have been a second clue. The server did not bring a napkin. We ordered an appetizer and entrée. The appetizer took an additional 10 minutes and arrived hot and attractively prepared. Unfortunately the taste was sub-par and we left the chips untouched and the dip only stirred. Our server never asked why we didn't eat it. No napkin. It was disturbing that the entrée too an additional 15 mins to arrive at our table. Again, hot and well presented. My wife's chicken breast was about as thick as a finger and not an appropriate size. Mine was thick and covered a fourth of the plate. At this point we were pressed for time, we had been seated for about 45 minutes. While my dish was acceptable, my wife said hers was dry, tough and tasted of vinegar. We flagged down the server and asked for an extra serving of the sauce. The extra sauce took at least 10 mins and, of course, my wife had finished the chicken by the time she brought it. Still no napkin. The manager managed to avoid the aisle where our table was for the entire hour of the visit. When we decided we were finished, I looked at our plates and realized most of the food was still on the plate! We had fundamentally only eaten two sub-par chicken breasts and a soda. Our server did not ask if there had been anything wrong. I never got a napkin and I paid $25 for two chicken breasts and a soda.Even so, I would not have written this very critical review except for the fact that our server brought me a refill on my soda. Despite reminding her I was drinking diet soda (or perhaps because of it), she brought a regular soda. Fortunately, diabetics keep insulin in their cars. This could have been a serious mistake on her part. While the food was barely acceptable, the service was abysmal. For a certainty, I would never return to any restaurant with this level of service and cleanliness. I think it will be a long time before I ever step foot in an Applebee's anywhere after this.

I come here often. I love the wings,Rueben, Philly cheesesteak ,club....ummm everything is good. Get the beagle chips ( homemade potato chips instead of fries). Place is often packed. Service is hit and miss. Kitchen can be slow. Good place for family, friends, not a romantic spot. I give it 4 stars for the consistency of their food.

What's On Tap has 33 to 34 craft beers on at any one time. They have local and out-of-State brews. They also serve some wines and root beer. They have a small food menu, but I don't go there for the food and that is not the focus. A person may buy a flight of 4 beers of his or her choosing. Some places have flights, but dictate what is in them. They sell and fill growlers of several sizes and fill growlers bought elsewhere, as is legal. The owner is a local businessman and all the people are very friendly and helpful. If you drink Bud or Coors, this is not the place for you. If you drink Bud or Coors and want to learn more, then they will help you choose a great beer to try. And, again, a flight lets one sample 4 different beers at a time. Nice and cozy. Kids are allowed.

Welcome to Hillside Fine Grill in Highland Village, where you'll partake in a dining experience that is both memorable and enjoyable. Enjoy the flavors and atmosphere of our upscale restaurant without breaking the bank; whether for a quick business lunch
Friends came to celebrate the wife's Birthday and we decided to try Hillside. Glad we did, it was awesome. The interior is very casual, but yet sophisticated. Service was fast and friendly. We all ordered something different and not a single complaint anywhere. This may become my go to restaurant in Flower Mound.
