We went for another restaurant nearby, but it was closed during august month. We passed la Vecchia Cantina, were hungry and we were surprised to find a very good menu. Price and quality very well balance. We went a second time a few days later. My wife had the risotto/red wine combination, I had the tagliata (sliced) Angus beef, which was very well grilled and very tastful! Tip: try the Trentino Gewürztraminer (white wine). You have to ask for an ice bucket to keep the wine chilled. For starters the mixed cheese plate is highly recommendable as well, allthough I advise you to split one plate with your partner. People are very friendly and helpful. Also the check is friendly ;-). You need a car to get there, approx 8 km from Trento.Grazie, grazie di CuoreLa Vecchia Cantina Birra & Food

In the middle of the small town Molveno is this hidden gem. Its a pub/bar with a wide selection of quality drinks (beer, wine, gin-tonic, cocktails, coffee, non-alcoholic). It also has a small selection of quality sandwiches made with locally sources meats and cheeses which taste amazing. A modern approach but with traditional & regional ingrediënt. Must visit when in Molveno. It is a bit hard to find but a sign from the main street senda you there

A cute wooden hut, tucked away in the woods. Perfect for a short snack and a hot cup of coffee/tea whilst trekking. Very nice stove and abundance warmth.

The restaurant La Botte is situated in a corner characteristic of the old village of Molveno. It's always been a reference point for all those who want to spend their evenings in a pleasant and varied way in a particularly welcoming environment made of wo
We really enjoyed eating pizza at this place - actually three times. Especially the Calzone, which all over Germany is served with salami and ham inside. And here - it is different and really tasty. :-)Downside: we always gave a good tip - only to find out at the last time that we were charged already 4.50 Euro for the (in)famous "coperto". So 4 instead of 5 stars.Dear guests from Munich, thank you very much for the nice review you shared with us.We are so pleased that you found all our pizzas excellent, and the staff professional and friendly as well as great value. We really hope to welcome you back soon to spend other great days in Molveno!Yours sincerely, La Botte

We went both to the restaurant (upstairs) and the pub (downstairs). The pub... The place is indeed nice, and the staff is nice as well... our dog was accepted and they were ready to feed him as well if we wanted. :) Unfortunately, the service is also a bit too much "relaxed" (and slow). Also, the selection of draft beers is very limited, which is not acceptable for a pub. On the plus side, they have nice wines and make a nice hugo... but hey, one usually looks for beers in a pub.The restaurant is a completely different matter. It's a cozy place with a nice decor, and the staff is so friendly and nice! I had a pizza and it was great. My girlfriend has a local dish (adapted for gluten free diet) and it was not only very good but also very big. Everyone (even the girl who feared dogs) was very kind with our Belgian shepherd and they gave us a secluded table so he was able to sleep while we were eating. Pricing is OK.So, I would definitely recommend the restaurant! The pub is nothing special, but it's still good for a drink before dinner.
