Al Jazīra Al-Khadrā) is a port city in the south of Spain, and is the largest city on the Bay of Gibraltar (in Spanish, the Bahía de Algeciras). The Port of Algeciras is one of the largest ports in Europe and the world in three categories: container, cargo and transhipment. It is located 20 km north-east of Tarifa on the Río de la Miel, which is the southernmost river of the Iberian peninsula and continental Europe. In 2015, it had a population of 118,920.

We visited El Vagon for lunch during the busy Christmas period. The presence of many locals is a good indicator that a place serves good local food and we were not disappointed.Although we only had a couple of montaditos (see picture), these were very tasty albeit they might have been more enterprisingly presented. Staff were courteous and friendly - the service was rather slow but we put that down to the fact that the restaurant was busy both inside and out (there is covered seating). The interior has a traditional feel with a few tables and chairs but also stools at the bar (in conventional tapas bar style). Pricing was pretty standard for Algeciras.Overall a very pleasant experience!

Hemos ido un grupo de 8 amigos y en general nos ha gustado. Los montaditos estaban muy buenos (hemos pedido diferentes variedades) pero los revueltos de patatas y jamón algo caros para la cantidad que venÃa. Las berenjenas tampoco nos han convencido mucho. Todo lo demás estaba muy bueno.

We stopped here for coffee and breakfast. Nice atmosphere and very pleasant owners. We had 2 cheese and ham toasties with 2 large coffees for â¬6. Would come here again.
