Right now Woermannhaus is used as a library and art gallery. You can find a guard in the yard and ask him to get to the tower. It costs 20N$ (1,5 USD). The views from the top are nice on a sunny day. And you would have 360deg observation desk for yourself, because there are usually not so many people interested to get up without a lift.

This fishing trawler run aground on August 25th 2008 about 14km from South of Hentiesbaai. The vessel was sold as scrap metal to an Indian company, got stranded after it came loose from its towing line while on its way to Bombay, shortly after it left Walvis Bay. Nice photo opportunity

This building caught my eye are we drove thru the downtown streets of Swakopmund. It has been nicely restored to it original grandeur and class. The German architecture is quite detailed right up to the front top roof-line pinnacle. It is buildings like this that bring such charm to the Swakopmund downtown and makes it so fun exploring. BOTTOM LINE: I put this high on my "must see" list when in Swakopmund along with many other old restored buildings. Today it is divided up into condos and not accessible. Worth while even to swing by in your rental car or taxi. Loved it. MY RATING: 9/10.
