We visited this restaurant twice during Christmas week.Our first visit was amazing. The steak, wine and service were fabulous and it would have been a five star rating.We booked for Christmas day based on our first experience. What we got was the total opposite to our first time. The food was still fabulous but service nose dived into appalling. Drinks and their replacements took a while to arrive and we actually waited one hour ten minutes for our main course to arrive following our starters.The restaurant was busy but other tables received their food before we did. In fact one table finished their meal.No apologies when it was mentioned.I paid and left.No tip which was unlike the first time.The food is still great which is why I don't give the lowest score. I have taken the average.

We hadden shoarma, een kidsbox en een pizza. Alles was ondanks de drukte snel klaar en lekker. Vriendelijk personeel en een leuke sfeer. Ook om daar te eten lijkt me niks mis mee maar niet geschikt om gezellig te tafelen.

After many years we tried this restaurant again on Valentines day, but it became a disappointment that we still joke about when we talk to others.Service very uninterested and slow. It took 2,5 hours to get two pizza's, because three waiters that took our order didn't do anything with it until I asked them for it for the last time.The pizza was very bad, a mix of the wrong ingredients on it, to hard and not very tasteful as you would expect a pizza to be. Asked for wine with it, but it arrived after we had finished our pizza.We didn't bother for a desert anymore.Would be wise to search another restaurant to get a pizza.

The menu has good variety of italian dishes to choose and the food was also very good.It's located very conveniently close to the bridge that takes you to Zaanse Schans, so we had lunch twice when we visited the windmills.We had a great time, this restaurant has an amazing view to the river and windmills.I went with my husband and the first time the service was excellent, our waiter took good care of us and was attentive to what we need; however the second time we felt abandoned it took a while for someone to take our order and our waitress didn't show up until it was time to go;it may be that they were low on staff that date.Regardless, we would recommend it and go back.Dear guest,Thank you very much for your kind review regarding your visit to Ristorante Il Mulino!Positive reviews like this will always encourage us to do more and more to make our guests happy during their visit.
