The place is very modest, but the key is the pizza!vClose to the camping, it is the best place ever to try napoletan pizza (soft dough) in Siena. We go only there. From the city center it is a bit hard to reach, but you may try bus 3 or 8 (direction "bottega nuova"). It's worth the efforts. Very important - the pizza maker has a rest day on Mondays. He gets substituted by the owner who is not that brilliant..

The appearance threw us off - looks like an after-thought to a trailer park, perhaps a service there for those who tired of eating in their own RV. Wrong ! We went there because we were desperate, and went back a second time a few days later because we ate so well the first time. Sure it's a basic/unpretentious facility but with good food, served hot, with big portions, well prepared and with all the trimmings included in the menu price. Even the house wine was very drinkable (as you would expect in Italy) !Great value. Our compliments.

We chose this because it was near to our hotel ans was not expensive. The cost did not detract from the excellent food which came in very generous portions. Another recommendation is that locals eat there.. Great ceiling.

In addition to the good TA reviews, La Veranda was recommended by our hotel. We walked over for a late lunch. Even though it was close to closing, we were seated and received prompt, friendly service. Hubby had a chicken special, a sauteed chicken breast with black salt and pepper. He thought it was quite tasty. I ordered the Friday Fish Special and received a basket of fried calamari and shrimp. It was so yummy. We liked the food so much that we came back the next night for dinner. Even though the place was packed and we had no reservations, they were able to squeeze us in. We ordered a pizza and beer. Great pizza, great service.

Unassuming Osteria/Pizzaria. Lovely welcome from friendly staff. Very nice menu, nothing flash, but good selection of antipasti and pasta and pizza. Good house wine and prosecco. Nice outside seating. The food was all very good and the service remained friendly and also efficient. Everything was all as you would hope for in a small and local restaurant - and then the bill turns up and it is just superb, and I mean *outstanding* value. A restaurant that deserves support. Give them a visit!

Great place to go. Very simple - basically a superb no nonsense pizza takeaway restaurant with some tables for eating in. Staff were lovely and food was spectacular. We had the Pizza Scacciapensieri and the Pizza with Porcini and Black Truffle. Some of the best pizzas we have had. Would come back to Siena just for this place!
