Situated on the border with Hertfordshire, it occupies a large area of land on the south bank of the upper Stort Valley, which has been made navigable through other towns and features a canal section near its watermill. Old Harlow is a village-size suburb founded by the early medieval age and most of its high street buildings are early Victorian and residential, mostly protected by one of the Conservation Areas in the district. In Old Harlow is a field named Harlowbury, a de-settled monastic area which has the remains of a chapel, a scheduled ancient monument.

I have recently started a Gluten free diet and so far the best menu chose and service in the area is Pizza Express. I didn't feel that I had to compromise to have gluten free dishes. When asked they provided a gluten free menu. Really enjoyed my Gluten-free Diavolo pizza. I enjoyed this so much that I've been back here for a second time in a week. Keep up the good work :-)

Had pizza from this awesome establishment last night.The guys behind the counter were really cheerful and very helpful!Hopefully they read this and we would like to say a massive "Thank You" for looking after us!They will know what we mean.The pizza itself was really good! Plenty of topping, nice and spicey and well priced.Highly recommended!

We went to this cafe while waiting for my car to be done .ordered a breakfast and while waiting for the coffee and to pay I watched the chef pick up the bacon with his hands then put his hand into a tin of tinned tomatoes picked up a handful and put them somewhere to heat up wiped his had then sat at a table with someone . at that point I decided I wasn't going to eat here won't be going back I don't know how they got a good hygiene rating?

Last night I had a pizza with a friend and asked for some chilli oil. It arrived in a small bowl with a spoon rather than a bottle and spout.The pizza was good, but the bill included a charge of £1 for chilli oil. I have NEVER been charged for chilli oil in any other restaurant. There was no charge for the extra parmesan my friend had.Just seemed so unnecessary and left a bad taste at the end of the meal.Dear Ian, thanks for your feedback. Sorry you feel you left with a bad taste in your mouth. Please allow me to explain that we buy fresh chillies, then olive oil goes in it to add flavour. The extra fresh chilli pot is a side or an item extra requested by the customer.

Our dentist is very near this pub / restaurant, so my wife and I have enjoyed a meal or drink here several times now and our visit this week was no exception. We had lunch here and it was very good. The service has always been very friendly and good. There is parking around the back (albeit the parking entrance and exit can be something of a 'challenge'...)Our experience of the food has never been disappointing, so we happily re-visit'...

Delightful and quaint restaurant situation right next to Roydon station. The menu is really good, lots of delicious pizzas and pastas to please the whole family. The owner/manager is really welcoming and gave my mum a happy Motherâs Day cupcake which was really sweet of her. Would definitely return!
