Best value for money restaurant in Dublin. .
I'm local to this restaurant and have been many times. It had been a few months until yesterday evening. There are new menus with increased prices. We had the 2 course menu and were charged a 4euro supplement for the Seafood Risotto but this was not stated on the menu. When queried the waitress said 'it was not written on menu but this was just the way it was sorry' and then swiftly departed the table. If you are going to charge a supplement it should be written on the menu! Both the food and wine were ok, but the service and extra charging was off putting- both waitresses were robotic like they don't really want to be there - no smiles, no thanks or goodbyes! Disappointing, I try to support local restaurants but in this case I'll be looking elsewhere in future.Hi Leone, thank you very much for taking the time to review us and I really appreciate the honest feedback, itâs the only way I would know what needs to be improved.Iâm very sorry if any of our staff seemed short with you on your visit, one of our waitresses called sick yesterday and I had to call a substitute in the last moment. Regarding the increasing of the prices please donât blame us, as you know Aprile has always been best value for money place in Stillorgan and I believe still is. We are offering Two course meal and a glass of wine at â¬23.80 which is â¬1.60 increase from our previous menu because since first of January VAT on food was increased to 13.5%.Regarding the overcharging, the waitress should have explained when taking the order that dishes from our Signature menu which is actually separated are not included on the Set Menu. Not an excuse at all but she was there covering for a sick waitress and I admit she was not properly trained.Actually eventually you were undercharged because the Sea Food Risotto from our Signature menu is priced at â¬19.90 which in combination with our cheapest starter and a glass of wine would cost â¬31.70, and instead bill was â¬27.70(including the â¬4 supplement). We hope you give us another chance.Kind Regards,Iliyan

Dreadfull!!!!!This from the man who gave the the Giantâs Causeway 3 stars for being ânothing specialâ and âjust a few odd shaped rocksâ and called a chicken burger he ate in Spain âlovely, just like KFC.â No, we donât have chicken.Yes, we only serve espresso. Sorry we were out of gelato that night. And we brought you a wine cooler for your white wine.

Having enjoyed a meal in Toscana many times over the years we booked an early table on Friday evening in the expectation of repeating our previous experience. All good on the service and getting a table as very few in restaurant so thumbs up so far.We picked from the early bird menu. The starters of suppli and meatballs were very middle of the road, suppli lacked any presence of mozzarella and once the bubbling of the tomato sauce on the meatballs subsided they they proved to be dry and lacking flavour wit( the garlic bread sodden rather than crisp on outside.....Hopeful that the min course would get us back on track we were again disappointed....My wifeâs lasagne was lacking meat sauce and flavour and again the bubbling mass of tomato sauce covering showed it had been overheated. I had salmon which was the better of the two courses but it had a distinctive fishy smell not usually associated with freshness. Sides ( payable extra as informed) were in line with rest of meal...mediocreAll in all a very underwhelming meal for a not inconsiderable price. !!!As a local I would not be rushing back and couldnât truthfully recommend to family and friends anymore.Sorry Toscana but your crown has most definitely slipped.....Hi Noel,We want to thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We are very sorry to hear about your experience at Toscana. Since we opened we have always prided ourselves on providing top service that matches the quality of our food. We apologise that this visit didn't live up to your expectations. We take reviews like this seriously, especially when they come from loyal local customers like yourself and we will look into this matter immediately so we can improve. We have appreciated your custom over the years, we would appreciate the opportunity to make this right, but can only do so if you give us a second chance. Kind regards, Toscana Dun Laoghaire

This popular restaurant is open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You will find seasonal Italian-inspired menus paired with a stunning sea view, alongside a beautiful bar. Haddington House began its journey as Oliveto and youâll see from the quality
Booked here for a family get together. Could not get over the price of our bill the end. We were never given children's menus, just told what food there was so when the bill arrived we were very unhappy. Small bowl of PLAIN pasta for a 2 year old was â¬6???? Childrens pizzas â¬9 then to add on a scoop of ice cream was â¬12. Our waitor didnt smile once, ladies on the main desk where people arrive to be seated looked stressed and miserble. Will most definitely not return due to the over priced menu, unhappy staff and price of drinks menu, over â¬11 for an aperol sprizr, Oliveto your in Dun Laoghaire not rome. Lower your prices and brush up on customer service. Take a leaf out of the Italian restaurant down the road from yourselves.Dear Sarah, thanks for taking the time to review Oliveto. We are genuinely sorry to hear that you were disappointed with our pricing structure and service levels. The prices of our menu items are carefully worked out for each item. We are currently working on our children's offerings, to streamline them further. Please contact me directly at [email protected] and I can resolve this with you directly. Kind regards, Chloe

My familyâs favorite restaurant. I am constantly craving their food ESPECIALLY the seafood linguine - the best I have ever had. So unique and the staff are all so friendly and seem like their own little family. We find it difficult to book any other restaurant as we know we can always rely on and completely enjoy our experience and our food at Thats Amore !

Our last meal in Ireland was at this little gem of a restaurant! After eating traditional Irish food for 9 days it was nice to have some Italian food and delicious, authentic Italian food at that. The service was simply perfect, attentive and friendly all while leaving us to enjoy ourselves and our meals. Thanks Ragazzi for a wonderful dining experience.
