Could have been a lovely summerâs evening visiting a typical Italian restaurant.....this was not the case here.....food overpriced and inexperienced staff although they did try their best. We ordered a kir cocktail....too strong as far too much Kir....asked to do again. Main meal of pollo Milanese.....chicken well cooked but pasta and tomato sauce very bland with no flavour and a few lettuce leaves....which you would hardly call salad accompaniment to a main meal cost just under £16. They are plenty of other well priced good restaurants in Lyme Regis serving local produce.....this restaurant did not mention any local suppliers. Would definitely not visit again, as thought it was poor value for money, which is a shame as the last time we had a much better meal. As regards the staff, we were served by a very inexperienced waitress who tried her best, but believe management were not helpful in assisting her, leaving her to pour cocktails, when she had no idea. If this restaurant wants to stay open, they need to up their game, as you just canât rely on just the summer tourist trade to survive.

Had pizza with family here at lunchtime. Other mains are also available. Good drinks and puddings too. Child and dog friendly. Small inside section and outside 5 over looking the bay. Lovely view. Nice, helpful maitre dâ.

We dined here by chance at the end of a day out. We were not disappointed. We sat outside on a tiny table as it was fully booked inside but enjoyed our rustic experience nevertheless. The staff are friendly, informative and very professional. The pizzas were very tasty, with so many different flavours coming through. This was the best pizza we have eaten in ages. If we lived closer we would most definitely be back.

Stopped off early (just before they actually opened - thank you Tracy) Lovely herbal teas, frothy de-caf cappuccino, fresh pastries and a wonderful selection of cakes including gluten-free and vegan... will be back very soon to try lunch menu! The decor is fresh, comfie, loads of room for perching with the kids outside beach stuff in tow! And the oh so glamorous toilet is a loo treat!

Called in here on the off chance. Pleasant indoor cafe with additional outside seating. Serve beer, wine and cider. Had their large cod and chips, big mistake as left no room for bread and butter pudding. Generous portion of chips and mushy peas to boot. Would definitely recommend Well priced meals.

Visited for the first time this week, after hearing some great feedback. We were a party of six on a Monday night, so the less than enthusiastic response of the female waitress surprised me.Her rather indifferent attitude continued throughout our two hour visit. Sometimes her engagement was there, sometimes not. She obviously found chatting to the chef, or staring into her phone, more of a priority than serving us. The pizzas were great. A really thin base, that I liked. Toppings, both imaginative and original.As other reviewers have noted, the toilets need a refurb, or at least the lock replacing in the menâs cubicle.I will come back, just not as often as I would if the service was any good.Hello paulc19642017,Sorry to hear you had poor service with us recently. Customer service is always top priority and normally all our staff are very good at dealing with customers, maybe they were just having an off day, it happens to the best of us.I'm glad you liked the pizza's :) our sourdough bases really are the best! The toilets do however need a refurb and update but we are open every day from 12 so this tends to be difficult to get done, but it's on the do to list!!See you again soon, apologies again. Yesterday 19th September I visited the Hive Cafe in Burton Bradstock and had an amazing meal. Today 20th September I visited the âsister cafeâ the The Watch House at West Bay and there was no comparison at all!I asked about the special pizza and was informed it had âeverything on itâ meats, anchovies, peppers, fish and many other items.When it arrived freshly made, it had hardly any tomatoes base paste, cheese, black mushrooms, olives, artichoke hearts, both of which I seriously dislike! Parma ham and rocket.Having dumped the olives and artichoke, the only thing I could then taste was the mushrooms!When I commented on how disappointed I was when payment time came, I got a weak apology but I felt they were not really interested.Others have really enjoyed there pizza, may be it was made by someone who cared! Because mine was not!
