Located one block from the Oceanside Pier this hotspot is a great place for pizza, rock and brew! Choose from several signature pizzas or salads and walk out with a bag of ice, craft brew, wine or soda. Great for the hungry beachgoer!
Stopped in for dinner while visiting the area. So funny, we hit same place 5 years ago on previous visit. Food was just as great as last time. My wife got the gluten free option. Very tasty. Great ingredients. Worth the stop for sure. Parking can be a bit tricky, it is right next to beach access.

Have read about this place for several years. Brought in a group of 11, and we all thought the place was great.Great array of thin crust pizzas. Best weâve had in the area. Nice brew selection. Salads were darn good too.Our waiter, Dominic, was on top of things throughout and that wasnât easy as there was a large crowd.Donât expect to park out front, but there is plenty of street parking.

Nestled in the Northern San Diego County beach town of Carlsbad is our Italian kitchen, Gregorio's. Gregorio's offers handmade pizzas & specialty pasta dishes along with meat & fish in a cozy Italian villa setting. Along with the great family recipes offe
A group of about 13 of us visited Gregorio's on a Tuesday evening for their Happy Hour specials. We were outside in the patio on a balmy Carlsbad evening. Our server, Amy, seemed to be overwhelmed trying to cover just too many tables for one person to handle. We arrived at 5:30 and didn't get our orders in until 6:00. She was friendly and courteous, but obviously not able to keep up with the customer load. My wife had the Eggplant Sliders and Caprese while I had the Sausage Pepper and Onions and the Chilled Mushrooms. After getting our orders in at 6, it was after 6:30 when we got our food. My wife's sliders were good, but the Caprese (four thin tasteless tomato slices with Mozzarella cheese) left a lot to be desired. My sausage dish and the chilled mushrooms were good. The two HH dishes were plenty for us. The parking is somewhat of a challenge. We had visited Gregorio's a few years ago, liked it and will probably give them another chance.

Primo Pizza & Pasta has been serving the finest New York inspired Italian food since 1993.
Ever so often I get a need for some good chicken parm and this place has it! It's a nice sized portion cooked perfectly served with spaghetti and lots of red marinara sauce. Eating in, there's just a few tables but the people coming to pick food up was insane! Good stuff here.

Various reviews listed on igougo, Urbanspoon, insiderpages... One of those quaint little places that serves large portions of really good food.
Jays restaurant was barely ok and not at all great. It seemed busy and full, the menu had lots of fresh seafood so we stopped in and they had just one open table, and we were happy to take it, seemed like it was going to be a great place for dinner. What we liked: the service started out good and friendly, but not attentive after our orders were placed; as far as the food, we thought the clam chowder and minestrone soups were good. What we didn't like: the seafood dishes weren't great. The swordfish special was close to not edible. One order came with the wrong sauce - we ordered the garlic white sauce, it came with the marinara sauce - we all ate while our friend watched and waited. In the other dishes the pasta was over cooked and the sauce had little to no flavor. We would not recommend any of the house wines. We should have ordered pizza or even the lasagna those looked really good. With so many other Italian restaurants I think we could have done better.

Knockout Pizza near our condo closed at 8:45 on a Thursday night and weâre darned glad that they did, Pizza Port was much nicer and livelier with fantastic pizza piled high with ingredients. Beer selection is their middle name. The seafood pizza was as good at breakfast as it was for dinner, maybe better, as cold shrimp and scallops taste better.

We are from the east coast and were vacationing in Carlsbad. We went here for dinner because we read it was featured on the show Diners, Drive ins and Dives and were hoping it was going to really great. We got a chicken and mushroom calzone and a Hawaiian pizza. We shared both and we thought both were average. They weren't something special. We've had better and we've had worse. We were also expecting a little more of a restaurant/diner but it was more of a take out with some tables in the lobby. However the sauce that came with the calzone was very good.
