Princes Pier

We went there as requested by my daughter who loves photography. We had our dinner and arrived there by 7 pm, she wanted to take sun set, it was beautiful there with coastal walk. Local people enjoyed jogging or riding on bike, very pleasant. Keeping walking out to the pier, you will find the old supporting log remaining there became a sculpture point. Taking photos, enjoy the walk and good family time together.

St Kilda Pier

St Kilda Pier is a Melbourne landmark and has traditionally been one of Melbourne's most popular tourist attractions. Providing panoramic views of the Melbourne skyline and Port Phillip Bay, the pier is a popular destination for strolling, cycling, in-line skating and fishing. St Kilda's Little Penguin colony is well-known for making the breakwater its home, and is a popular tourist attraction. I seriously don't bother going to Phillip Island anymore the fairy penguins are right here! It can depend on the night as to how many there are but we have been lucky on most occasions that we have been. There is also a great view of the city from the pier, a great photo opportunity beckons.

Mordialloc Pier

Reviewed By 1986theatretraveller - Melbourne, Australia

Walking along Mordialloc Pier is stunning with beautiful views and a great nature escape. Although it was quite windy on our visit I still enjoyed myself immensely. The water has beautiful blues and the sand is a warm golden colour providing a great contrast. What was surprising was how pristine the beach was. Parking is $3.50 an hour which is cheaper than other beaches.

Gem Pier

Reviewed By 619jeffry - Essendon, Australia

Gem Pier is one of Williamstown's highlights. It's virtually in the centre of town. You can take a ferry to Southbank or St Kilda, or you can take a stroll and inspect the veteran warship. HMAS Castlemaine, built during World War II at the Williamstwon Naval Dockyard. HMAS Castlemaine is a corvette, it had a varied career, now it's back close to where it was constructed. This small ship is open for inspection -- check for opening times. Anyone who loves the sea will be fascinated by this naval relic of times past. By the way, you can get a good view across Port Phillip Bay to Melbourne from the end of the pier.
