The Mere

Before the last lockdown we visited the Ellesmere town and some of its meres. The Mere is a very pleasant walk around and full of wildlife with a few nice sculptures in some places. Once the current lockdown is over I recommend it to anyone who likes a walk. Far better than the often overrated and sheep like tourist trodden Lake District.

Hawkestone Park

Stayed at the hotel on Friday 21 Feb 2020. Had a mishap-car was broken into whilst visiting the Follies; which incidentally was well worth the visit despite the mishap. Staff at hotel rallied round and lifted our spirits and helped us deal with the situation, so a shout out to all who helped, thank you so much The hotel has been refurbished, rooms were nice - bit warm at night. 3 course emal was really good and a very pleasant environment. Would come again. Golf course looks great.
