Reviews on Northern-Italian food in Venice, Province of Venice, Italy. For centuries Venice has been defined by its otherworldly presence. Divided into six sestieri (districts), the city is split by the Grand Canal, snaking through Venice in a backwards “S” formation. Water here is a means of communication, connecting its parts as well as opening the city to the outside world. People move themselves and cargo by foot and boats of all types. A city of great contrasts, the strength and beauty of Venice are perpetually challenged by its great fragility – constant study, repair, resourcefulness, and vigilance maintain a very delicate balance here.

Was able to secure a table for lunch with my father without reservations, however I would recommend having them. Upon entering, a quaint setting with pictures adorning the walls makes for an enjoyable atmosphere, one where the owner and staff take the time to greet all customers. Beef carpaccio for an appetizer was fantastic, spaghetti carbonara and Chicken Milanese were absolutely delicious....ended our outstanding lunch with a lemon tart and tiramisu. What a phenomenal lunch, with the owner handing us two Lemoncelloâs prior to leaving. It was just a wonderful experience, fantastic meal, and our waiter was so attentive. What a gem....if in the area....stop by and enjoy a fabulous meal in an institution that truly appreciates those that walk through their front doors.Grazie

Nice, intimate and cozy place: just 20 (or less!!) seats. The food is very well done: I suggest the Capelunghe gnocchetti. Very tasty and with a personality. The manager and the waiter are very friendly and professional. Price: around 50⬠/pax with wine and dessert.

The staff were friendly and accommodating. Approachable and sincere. I was going to go for the steak, but asked for a recommendation from the senior waiter/manager, and was guided towards a seafood pasta dish.I was brought a beautiful dish of very well prepared seafood, and lots of it! I have to say thank you to all concerned for this. I started with the meat antipasti, and didn't have to work to finish my dish - it was that yummy!!!

Closed from 7th of January to 11th of February. Right in the heart of Venice, between Santa Lucia train station and the Rialto Bridge, and just a few steps away from the Casino, you will find a restaurant where we have translated our welcoming philosophy
Two yeras since our last visit, La Colombina retains its reputation as one of our favourite restraurants in Venice. Under the supervision of the charming owner Adriana we tried the seafood tasting menu which included several chichetta apetizsers with a distinct Oriental influence, showing that the restaurant is willing to innovate when it comes to flavours. The wine was as reliable and the service as friendly as always.
