Delicious food - went in for an off the cuff lunch and definitely not disappointed. We sat out on the train station deck, nice and quiet with an industrial outlook and ordered lunch. Not in a hurry we had the prawn sliders myself the seafood chowder and hubs a brisket burger. The prawn sliders were tasty as anything, delicious Siracha, generous amount of prawn on a sweet brioche like bun. In itself these could be a light main meal if you donât want something huge. The seafood chowder was creamy and full of seafood - fish prawns mussels etc and a nice huge slice of rewena bread to accompany. The brisket burger had a HUGE serving of brisket accompanied by thick home made chips. Absolutely tasty a massive service. Stoked has massive value for money and a large all day menu inclusive of childrenâs menu and all dietaries covered. We finished off with a coffee and red velvet cake - there are several selections of raw vegan paleo slices and bliss balls available as well as a great selection of cakes. Great experience in the heart of Te Kuiti, excellent food great service and great location right next to the Colin Meads statue. Hard to beat

The cafe has a delicious menu. Offering a selection of light or more substantial meals with a fantastic beverage list, you can sit down and relax in this iconic open-air cafe under the canopy of the Visitor Centre. Look out at the native bush of the Waito
We ate here between cave tours. Whilst the food was nice, the counter area seemed too small given the crowds of people that were there. As a consequence, there was confusion with our orders and service was a little chaotic. I think a bit of re-design and a couple more staff would sort out the issue.
Waitomo's newest cafe, we opened in November 2018. Muffins, scones, cakes and slices baked fresh every day. Salads, sandwiches, pies and an extensive breakfast menu available daily.
Stopped in to the recently opened cafe to try their breakfast/brunch menu. We were not disappointed. A much needed addition for Waitomo. Hubby and I both ordered the grilled banana and mascarpone pancakes with bacon. Unbelievably good and delicious. Good selection of teas, drinks and coffee. Great cabinet selection of freshly made scones, muffins, slices, savory options and yummy salads. We sat on the deck and watched the world go by. The cafe is inside the adventure centre which is newly opened and still undergoing finishing work. Don't let that put you off, it's well worth the trip and the food wont disappoint.

We are two couples touring the North Island, New Zealand two weeks ago. We decided to stay at Waitomo Caves Hotel for the night after touring the caves. I went on line looking for reviews of local restaurants. I must admit that many of the reviews I read on this eatery were not good. A lot of the comments were negative and particularly about the rudeness and inattention of wait staff. The restaurant inside was not full but there was an outdoor area with heating lamps and it seemed to be popular with locals. We settled ourselves indoors and after a short wait the bartender/waiter brought us menus. We had to go to the bar to order and pay. The food was just ok. Nothing over the top for sure. However, what made this an excellent evening for all of us was the bartender/waiter. Not sure if he was the owner and unfortunatley did not get his name. He was so pleasant, amusing and friendly! He came to our table numerous times and asked us where we were from and what we were going to be doing/seeing on our trip. He came back and wrote us a list of places that we should visit on our way from Waitomo Caves to our next destination of Taupo and beyond.. He was so helpful to us and really made us feel welcome. We saw nothing of the 'rudeness' that was mentioned in the reviews on line. He made the evening special for us. We did do some of the stops that he suggested and they were all well worth it. Forgot to mention the draft beer we had was awesome.... Thank you for your feed back we appreciate it.

The Waitomo Homestead serves as a welcoming gateway to the Waitomo area. The perfect place for guests to relax in before or after their Waitomo experience on our expansive deck with rural views or in our spacious cafe, on our comfy couches or in our kids
After visiting the Waitomo Caves, we came here for a buffet lunch as part of our tour. The foods were good tasty and included vegetables, salad, potatoes, rolls, etc. The meat items were served separately at your table including steak, grilled chicken and fried fish. All were yummy. The buffet also included a chocolate cake and drinks (water, beer, wine or sodas) at no cost. Overall pretty good for a tourist buffet.BOTTOM LINE: The restaurant also caters to walk-in al a carte business separately as well and also has a nice coffee bar. MY RATING: 7/10.Inside also is a nice gift shop and place to but cave tour tickets.Kia Ora midwaytoheaven,Many thanks for your extensive review of our coach tour buffet lunch, cafe, retail and cave reservations. We are most happy you enjoyed your stop with us, safe journeys to youWarm Waitomo Wishes

Roselands is New Zealand's first Qualmarked restaurant visitor experience. Roselands offers premium meat portions cooked on the BBQ just how you like it with a buffet of fresh home-made salads, sauces, bread and rice. A dessert buffet of home-made traditi
I was really disappointed in this establishment. The road signs test out this is New Zealand's best barbecue place. I got there early, before they opened so I had some time to walk around. Nice grounds, parking is available for campers, and the views are beautiful. There were two options on the buffet. One could select the $15 one which consists of beef stew and salads or you have your choice of steak, lamb, chicken, or salmon prepared on a grill. I ordered a steak and it was mediocre at best. The broccoli and cauliflower was served with some white sauce oh, there was pasta with pepper flakes which tasted like metal, and there were some roasted potatoes which were pretty good. There are also several salad options, but they look like they had been sitting out for some time as the potato salad had some kind of crust over it. The desserts were pretty tasty, the carrot cake was really good and there was an assortment of cookies that were tasty as well. I would not recommend going here if you are hungry. I walked away still hungry and drove back to Hamilton to get a proper meal.

Came for dinner the restaurant is well elevated can be challenging if you have someone with mobility issues. Not much parking all that being said the restaurant has a pleasant outdoor area overlooking the valley. The food was good enough options for our party crafts beers on tap. Very popular with locals all ways a good sign.
