Went on Wednesday 22May. Ordered lamb shanks barely edible, potatoes full of uncooked lumps, vegetables hard, no gravy. Serving and charging $25 for this meal was an insult. Spoke very nicely to waitress who shrugged her shoulders and walked away. Not even an apology.

It was a totally brand new building since July.Great food, lovely Japanese lady made our coffee(was great!!) and the lamb burger & chips was tasty. Worth to try again.. Strong recommendation for anyone.. Good selection of menu. We ordered 3 different meals and the greats were the Beef Cheek pasta, and apparently the eye fillet! Both highly recommended. Unfortunately the twice cooked pork belly was one of the worse I have ever had.....there was no crackle and the pork pieces were dominated with more layers of the fat. Great location and a nice selection of wines though.

We had had a bit of a cold snap so on entering I immediately smiled towards the roaring fire. The waitress must have seen me look - so she put us close enough, not just for toasty warmth, but to see and hear the spitting, crackling logs which created a fantastic ambience. And the food took it up a notch. The lamb shank was falling-off-the-bones-soft, succulent in its rich wine jus. My only complaint is that I could easily have had double the veges. Dessert was a beautiful chocolate- icecream creation with a multitude of textures including a wonderfully oozy caramelly core. MasterChef-worthy!Another point is the restaurant is on the main road and is therefore great as a pitstop since they open up surprisingly early (3pm) - but please note, plan carefully - last orders around 8:30 pm we were told

The service is so friendly and the location is perfect right on the Main Street nearest to the lake. The selection for breakfast is pretty extensive, and so are its coffee and tea options. Very accommodating to my extra chocolate mocha. Definitely the place for breakfast for those of us staying in motels and hostels with no breakfast in those locations. The eggs Benedict with the salmon was prepared perfectly with a twist, the salmon is local and pan fried. Yum!

We ate here last night and loved it. The service was the best we have ever come across. Not overstating that either! From the moment we were greeted at the entrance we were waited on by attentive and enthusiastic staff. Food delicious and came out in good time. Good range of food for both adults plus our children. Free desserts for the kids. Will definitely go back!

My wife and I had a quality lunch at Reflections during a recent visit to Lake Tekapo. I ordered the Lamb Burger and my wife ordered the Braised Pork and Wild Mushroom Pappardelle. The burger was delicious. The ground lamb patty was topped with melty Brie, creamy aioli, crisp lettuce, fried onion rings, and pickled jalapenos. The burger was paired with soft thick fries. I stole a decent portion of my wifeâs dish since she wasnât too hungry. Savory noodles were mixed with tender shredded pork, juicy mushrooms, and fresh basil and covered in a lightly creamy and peppery sauce.
