Lingering over pain au chocolat in a sidewalk café, relaxing after a day of strolling along the Seine and marveling at icons like the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe… the perfect Paris experience combines leisure and liveliness with enough time to savor both an exquisite meal and exhibits at the Louvre. Awaken your spirit at Notre Dame, bargain hunt at the Marché aux Puces de Montreuil or for goodies at the Marché Biologique Raspail, then cap it all off with a risqué show at the Moulin Rouge.

The outstanding Palace de Garnier, or the Opera house is absolutely the main attraction here, jaw dropping both inside and outside (see that review). Besides it, this neighborhood is home to the famous department stores, Galleries Laffayete being the biggest one, as well many restaurants, hotels and designer shops. Certainly an area to explore.

The 9th arrondissement contains many places of cultural, historical, and architectural interest, including the Palais Garnier, home to the Paris Opera, Boulevard Haussmann and its large department stores of Galeries Lafayette and Printemps. Along with the 2nd and 8th arrondissements, it hosts one of the business centers of Paris, located around the Opéra.
This is another beautiful area of Paris, like so many others. We walked the streets, like Boulevard Haussmann, on many occasions and enjoyed our time, particularly around Palais Garnier which is one of the most stunning and glamorous buildings anywhere. If you want to do some serious shopping then visit Galeries Lafayette and the other large shopping store, Printemps.

Located on the right bank of the River Seine, the 2nd arrondissement, together with the adjacent 8th and 9th arrondissements, hosts an important business district, centered on the Paris Opéra, which houses the city's most dense concentration of business activities. The arondissement contains the former Paris Bourse (stock exchange) and a large number of banking headquarters, as well as a textile district, known as the Sentier, and the Opéra-Comique concert hall.
This is part of central Paris and is in fact part of the centre of the business district of the city. It is probably not everyone's ideal Paris but we did not mind it at all. There are plenty of shops around and lots of people too.

Famous part of Paris, especially because of its iconic Moulin Rouge. Definately worth a stroll in the evening.
