PEG is a biodynamic farm on the island of Barbados. Our main focus is to promote and maintain four primary principles: biodynamics, free range animal husbandry, broad acre permaculture and holistic management.
Went for a Saturday brunch with the wife, the setting is beautiful the views are beautiful and the constant breeze is fantastic. The staff are very friendly and. Helpful and the menu is both acomadating varied and fresh and organic ( can not ask for more). Even the table water is well water filtered and with basil in super tasty. Me and the wife both had Flank steak on a cassava and Breadfruit flat bread with veggies topped with Rocket, which was so tasty, washed down with a Sorrell Punch, which was very nice. We met the Chef and congratulated him on a excellent menu which was well presented and very well cooked. PEG Farm is the place to go for a great meal in a non tourist setting hich is quite and peaceful, will be going back for the farm tour and more meals, the butcher up there Oink and Moo is also fantastic to all organic and gluten free. Two thumbs up.

If you or your children love animals, then this is the ideal spot. Off the beaten track in St. Phillip. Call ahead to make appointment. Small fee of $5.00 Barbados dollar for children and $10 Barbados for adults. Also donations welcomed. Lots to see from snakes to centipedes. Lots of local plants to see. You can touch, ask questions and be entertained by the talking parrot.

See the wildlife of the tropics: hares, otters and lots of monkeys.
We arranged private tour through Sandals. It was a taxi and driver .. this was on the list of places we wanted to visit. We came to see the green monkeys. There are lots of tortoises walking about .. you have to watch were you walk of you will trip over them. At 2pm they bring out a wheel barrel full of fruit and spread it out for all the animals so be there before 1:30 and try not to go when there is a cruise ship. The monkeys are "wild" and free .. they know to come over the fence to get fed. The green monkeys are small and were not aggressive. they are obviously used to being around people .. they were very close to the people. But they are wild animals .. so obviously just don't touch them. I felt very safe. there were other animals .. some sort of deer, something that looked like a huge short eared rabbit, peacocks. wear bug spray!

Stroll down the boardwalk and observe tropical wildlife and migrating birds in their natural habitat at this wildlife reserve.
Sadley the Sanctuary was closed when I arrived at 11.00am on Saturday 1st. Feb 2020 A sign on the gates indicated the Cafe was closed until further notice. I was unable to see any signs displaying opening times. The Aviary looked huge and the place seemed cared for. However the troupe of monkeys inside gave me a great display although I understand they are wild. I was lucky to see them as essentially it is a bird haven with a lake and the last of the Mangrove Swamps along the coast here. I believe there is a problem with water supply and its existence is threatened by developers, this would be a huge loss to the tourism industry as there is little to do in this area for holiday makers other than lie on the beautiful beaches.
Chicken is on the menu at this nature reserve: there are over 83 different types of this bird on display.
