This was our first time here, I have lived in Miami for 7 years and Lynne even longer than me and, neither of us ever went to Key Biscayne before, it is really lovely, the lighthouse is really pretty, it is located inside the Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park, there are a few walking paths or you can rent bikes, there is the beach, it has a totally different vibe from Miami yet, you are 10 minutes from the city, we will definitely be back again ❤️ The only thing I would improve is the closing time at the lighthouse area, as the park is open till later that area should be too and not close at 4 pm, way too early. Crandon Park

Please stop here while in Key Biscayne. It is like going back in time - an old zoo-type park that now is taken over naturally by birds and critters. Yes, we saw peacocks, ibises, iguanas, gorgeous ducks, egrets. Very manageable for strollers, walkers or wheelchairs. Free and in the open - we got in a couple of mile walk that was unforgettable.

Paradise Beach and clear water. Parking is USD 7/day. Bring picnic and enjoy the sound of the waves and palmtrees. Wanted to get away from the noisy Miami Beach for a day and this is how it is done. Highland recommended.
