Having seen the Little Mermaid in Denmark, this was a must for us. It was easy to find and is close to the sea front. Take a left from isite and it is a short walk

Outstanding statuary abounds in Napier, not the least of which is this attractive Art Deco example on the mall. It took us a couple trips up and down the walkway before we figured out that she is waving to a little boy who is climbing a pole on the opposite side of the street! Very cute.
