This breakfast was solid. Eggs, toast and home fries. Basic but tasty and well prepared. Coffee was average. Value was okay. My husband had the Huevos Rancheros and it was a very large portion , well prepared. The beans we're very tasty too. Good place for breakfast.

New Mexican and American food, Beer and Wine! OPEN From 5 til 9 pm. Enchiladas, Fajitas, Flame grilled All American Burgers! This is a quaint restaurant located inside the Quality Inn Tucumcari.
We were staying at the hotel and enjoyed the convenience of this restaurant. The server works very hard to provide great service. They appear to have limited staff but everything goes smoothly. The food is good and arrives in a reasonable time. We will eat here on our return trip.

If you can ignore the presentation of the meal (very messy running together) the food is pretty good - although not very spicy for Mexican. Tucumcari does not offer many options though and this one can work. Think basic decor and basic food and you will not be disappointed.

El Herradero is OPEN!!! Right across from the VFW on Main St is El Herradero where the coffee is very good and the food is so comforting. Huevos con Chorizo is a sizable portion of scrambled eggs with ample pork chorizo prepared properly dry keeping the eggs fluffy with excellent hash browns. The Denver Omelet is big filled with plenty of ham, a side of hash browns, and toast or tortillas. The side of Chili Rellanos smothered in green chili was sublime. We lingered over several cups of coffee taking in the amazing murals on all the walls. These folks care about their food.
I finally got a chance to try Loretta's, and what a great experience! Without a doubt the best burgers in town are here, one of the best anywhere. I really liked the fresh-cut fries, too. Friendly service, and they've done a great job fixing up this place. Very bright, clean and inviting. We will be back to try more of the menu items! Loretta used to operate out of a food trailer on 3rd street, but is now located right on Route 66 Boulevard at 605 West Route 66. Any time of day, you will be glad you ate here!

An interesting stop on Route 66 in Tucumcari. The restaurant is decorated with paintings by a local artist, Douglas Quarles, and are amazing, especially the ones at the booths. Worth dining there to see them. The service is excellent and friendly. The food is good. A Route 66 must. We really enjoyed this experience.

We decided to spend the night in Tucumcari and ate at Delâs. There was a short wait of about 15 mins on a Saturday night. The place was continually busy, but the wait never appeared to be very long for anyone. The staff was friendly and prompt. Food was delicious and just what was needed after a long day of driving. Good home style cooking. Salad bar was fresh. Had option of two soups but We did not try either. Definitely will eat there again if ever through that area.
