Things to do in Safford
Safford is well equipped with Mexican/Southwestern food places, but this one is definitely one of the better choices. I liked the Tamales, the Salsa was also very good. All-in-all a very pleasant experience. And the said they will have the bar back soon, so I can even go there with my friends who insist on having a Corona with their Tacos.
They serve good food that is quick and inexpensive. The menu is similar to taco bell, but the quality a step above...dine in or take out,
I ordered the cheese nachos that came with plenty of cheese and the green chili burro enchilada style. The burro was stuffed with flavorful shredded beef and wrapped in a homemade flour tortilla and topped with a tasty, rich red enchilada sauce. A place to visit if in Safford, AZ.

You know a restaurant is great when all the "locals" love it. This is definitely true for El Coronado. We went for breakfast and got our usual favorites; I got chorizo and eggs while my husband got the huevos rancheros. Both were delicious. Large portions so I had to get a doggy box which was my breakfast the next day. Yummy!
Don't be fooled by the photo of the Blueberry Tortillas shown in their listing, they no longer make them ! ( false advertising, if you ask me ! ) What kind of horrible business decision did the owners of this place make ? Why on earth would you discontinue making the product that put you on the map ? Very disappointing !

We were on the way home to New Mexico and hit Safford at lunch time. This looked to be a hopping place so we gave it a go. The special for the day was a chicken soft taco and bean tostada plate for $5. OMG!!! It was a huge plate, complete with rice and beans! The whole thing was delicious! My beau had the chicken chimichanga, also with rice and beans, and said it was fantastic. This was a very pleasant surprise. The service was friendly and prompt. I will stop again should I be passing through Safford at a meal time.

Since 1951, Casa Manana is The Gila Valley's oldest Landmark Mexican restaurant serving many generations of families & friends. Our founders, "Gabby" & Emma Gabaldon began using family recipes & creating some of her very own. With a humble beginning in th
My husband and I have been to Casa Manaña several times by ourselves and recently have brought in a group of people we were camping with at Roper Lake. No one has been disappointed. We were there last night witha group of six with two of us celebrating birthdays. They had decorated around our table! The people who work there are so nice!We started with complementary chips and salsa, and margaritas. They have strawberry or lime and theyâre very tasty. We had a variety of enchiladas and tacos. The creamy chicken enchiladas, the fish tacos, and the spicy beef machaca enchiladas were the favored entrees. For dessert, our birthday girls were given complementary fried ice cream. A wonderful evening.
