Things to do in Hamilton
On a recent visit to Pyramid Hill in Hamilton, we asked OnStar to navigate us to Taqueria Paisano (Paisano caught our attention.)We are sometimes Mexican Food fans and now Taqueria Paisano fans.It seems that Hamilton has a paucity of restaurants or at least restaurants that we might consider. We both ordered Burritos (Christmas.) Well this is Hamiliton, and not Sante Fe; however, Taqueria Paisano did know how to serve the Burritos (Christmas) given an explanation. Mexican and Tex-Mex is different. We liked the service, the ambience, and the burritos.

Ate at this restaurant a few years ago. It was great. Ate there Aug 2016 and it was horrible. Ordered margarita chicken with asparagus/rice. The chicken was rubbery, the asparagus looked like wilted spinach. Couldn't cut thru the chicken, no flavor in the rice or asparagus. Server was gracious and apologetic. She offered to bring another dish so I figured cheeseburger and fries would be quick enough. But cheeseburger was raw on inside, not edible. Server was great, took the entire meal off the bill since we were ready to leave. What's going on at this place?
I've been to Cocos 3 different times and the food has always been awesome and well priced. Happy hour drinks are well priced and plentiful. They have a wide selection on the menu and are accommodating on substitutions or custom orders. Unfortunately, the plaza that they are located in does not face Bypass RT4, so I don't think they get the business they deserve even with some signage on back of the building.
The food is fresh and delicious. The restaurant is spotless! The service was friendly. What more can you ask for??? Horchata. That's the only thing that is missing. Lol. Happy to have found this hidden gem. Bottled drinks only, including water. Enjoy!!

Stopped in to get 2 chili dogs and the person who waited on me was on the ohone during my entire visit, which I thought was rude. And, the chili dogs were very ordinary with bland, flavorless chili.

For those looking for an authentic Mexican restaurant that will leave your taste buds satisfied, visit El Mariachi Mexican Restaurante & Cantina in Hamilton, OH. The restaurant has been in business for more than 20 years, providing patrons with mouth-wate
I have had many Mexican meals which include the large burrito loco. At El Mariachi the management explained it was OK for this particular dish to be cold because they put lettuce and pico de guyo and sour cream and onions and cheese on it. Well at American restaurants when you get a cheeseburger with lettuce and cheese and onion and tomato and maybe even ketchup the food is not cold. At least the meat is not cold. The hot stuff is hot and the cold stuff is cold. At El Mariachi apparently it is OK with them if everything is cold except the extremely hot plate. Spoke with someone when i paid the bill and he agreed with this concept about cold Mexican food. He refused to call the manager so he was in control. There are plenty of other Mexican restaurants to go to.

I rarely give a five star rating but this place deserved it, in my opinion. There are many Mexican restaurants in the area but La Cazuela stands above the rest. It's a bright, colorful place. The service is excellent, prices are reasonable and the food is plentiful and awesome. We went for dinner on a Saturday night and ordered the camarones ala diabla and the tilapia ala plancha. When seated, they start you off with very thin corn chips served with both salsa and refried beans with cheese. As a chili-head, I especially loved the selection of 5 different hot sauces on each table. We asked them to wait a bit before putting our order in because we wanted to relax and enjoy a sip of wine and some conversation before dinner. I suggest you do the same because the food comes out of the kitchen pretty quick! Both entrees were cooked perfectly and either would have been big enough to share. We left with plenty for lunch the next day (see pictures). I wish they offered whole beans as an alternative to the standard refried beans but that's a minor point. We'll be back sooner rather than later. Highly recommended.
