Heard so much about it. We visited for lunch. Entry door leads to stairs to upstairs restaurant. Great friendly welcome by the staff. Has a good selection available on the menu including daily specials. Very tasty and not a long wait. Definitely he back again soon.

There was a large group of us for my mam's 60th birthday, and everything came together wonderfully. Starters and mains were lovely- no complaints. I had the kiev pizza which was lovely, and the mozzarella to start. My mam was surprised with a birthday cake which the restaurant let us eat there. Hadnât been here before so was looking forward to the visit with the family my starter which were prawns were an absolute taste sensation however when it came to my main course it was extremely disappointing. I really should learn my lesson when it comes to Steak because unless you are in a Steak House rarely (no pun intended) is the steak any good and so it proved here. Ordered rare, it was on the wrong side of medium, I can accept that as long as the flavour is still good but this was bland and tasted like one of those frozen jobs a chain pub would serve. Such a shame the setting is fab the staff are fab but if you choose to eat here never order a Steak it was rankThank you so much for your constructive criticism.May I ask which might you dined with us? Just the staff are unaware of any recent complaints regarding the steaks.Our steaks are all locally sourced British cuts and are fresh not frozen. I visited here on a Sunday and got the 3 courses for £7.95 and wow what amazing value! The cheese balls to start were absolutely amazing, I loved them! The chicken main was lovely and the ice cream for dessert finished it off nicely. The portion sizes were good (the pizzas were huge) and the food was what I would call tasty home comfort food - Everyone enjoyed their meals and left full up I will definitely be visiting again, such great value for money.

Having not visited this restaurant in many years we decided to pop in and give it another try. It was a relatively quiet Tuesday night so we had no problem being seated quickly and efficiently by the friendly waitress. It's a fairly small place and has a good atmosphere, the menu was very extensive and we both chose different meals. The food was very good, tasty and well presented. A converted pub on the South Side of the main street in Birtley.Arrived for opening on Saturday lunchtime and a shame that some of the old bleach smells of pubs were hanging around.Very quiet. Happy hour menu priced higher than currently shown online. Food was good with 2 courses for £9.95. Enjoyed houmous starter whilst my Mum obviously thought she was in an Italian and went for the potato skins option they offered. Both good.Both enjoyed chicken shish mains with rice/salad plus an extra of saute potatoes.All good enough and our waitress was pleasant.

Made our second visit to Ravello, based on the food and service, both of which were excellent first time around.Ravello didn't disappoint !Starters and main courses were superb, a very pleasant bottle of Prosecco and my wife loved her dessert ( I settled for an espresso ).Ravello is very good value and the whole ambiance etc makes it a great place to enjoy a leisurely meal in nice surroundings.Definitely our favourite Italian restaurant!
